Ain't it weird....
I had a place for rent...pretty nice place (incredibly awesome people next door/attached)....2,300 sf, 3 br's...everything included (power/garbage/5 acres....1 acre garden fully irrigated/don't have to mow the 5 acres...my guys do that), giant kitchen, lots of parking....really nice place....new carpets....deer every morning...
Chic emails me..."sounds nice"...we met...she's the wife of one of my best contractor clients from years gone by...I hadn't done anything for the guy for years (turns out he left her...she's older....he felt it was time to sow some oats....she's wonderful....he lost a lot....based on what I just learned....when I did bids at their home....it was spectacular....architectural digest stuff....I'd drive in and think "this is what I'd like my home to look like someday....flawless...perfection....meticulous".
We met....had a conversation "I know you from somewhere....I'm sure"...."sorry...I don't know you" she said....it took me a few days...sometimes it takes me a while.
She didn't know me because she was back office but....I'd met her and, I never forget a face.
She loved the place but...still felt awkward (change...and it was expensive)...she asked "how long do I have?" I said "how long do you need?"
She said "2 days".....I said "you have EXACTLY 2 days to decide" (I knew I wanted her as a tenant).
She called me today (exactly 2 days later) and said..."I'll take it but, I can't talk now, I'm in an awkward place"...I said "where are you?". She said (some place near me) and I said..."meet me here".
So she did.
Then she made me cry....old memories....hard to explain but....
Sometimes things are supposed to be....and....it is :)
And I'm happy now that my (residential) properties are filled with truly spectacular people :)
Today's a phenomenal day :)
Some days are exceptionally good.
This was one of them :)
