jlf1961 -> I am not a teddy bear! (12/18/2013 2:10:52 PM)

Having gotten up way earlier than necessary the last few days, including this morning, this afternoon I decided I was going to take a short nap.

I had actually used the early morning wake up constructively and by noon I had finished all the tasks I had set for myself, thus I was free to do what I pleased.

So, I went to my room, left the door open (big mistake) and stretched out. I was asleep fairly quickly.

During this period, four of my dogs decided that they needed to take a nap, and got on the bed and found spots of their own, then my sis brought in Damian, placed him on his favorite pillow of mine, and he evidently never woke up.

What woke me later was this very small finger lightly poking my nose. Opening one eye, I looked into Damian's smiling face as he gave me his version of a bear hug.

I dozed for about 30 more minutes, while Damian laid on the bed quietly snuggled up next to me, with blu between him and the wall, Kera curled at his feet, in other words, this little guy was in heaven.

My sister took some pics of this and has threatened to post them on facebook.

During Thanksgiving at was at my sister's house in Massachusetts. I used the "facilities" in the basement and one of her cats decided to curl up in the reading basket next to the toilet. I finished up and, not wanting to have the cat locked into the smallest room, tried to get her out.

After having removed the cat from that room I laughingly told my BIL about it. He said, "That's not the bathroom, that's the petting room. Didn't you know?"

Seems to me like you had the same problem.

Considering the color of your beard, perhaps not a teddy bear, but a polar bear?

The Man was supposed to babysit his grandson yesterday. The kid snuggled in alongside him and was out like a light. Until the fatal mistake of trying to transfer him to the crib was made.

You'll wish for the days of being a teddy bear soon enough, once he gets to the age where he decides you are playground equipment.

I dunno. After reading this, it all sounds very teddy-bearish to me. [:)]

I thought Jeff was already playground material...
