I am an experienced Master playing with submissives and slaves but have never owned or played with a puppy or other pet.
There is some appeal and I would like to know what you look for in a Dom or Master. How do you differentiate regular Masters from one who you would want to be owned by?

... I thought this was going to be about how human pets relate to their owners' canine pets, and was going to come in and talk about how, because my boy and my dog get similar kinds of non-sexual attention, he was experiencing some jealousy.

Never mind!

Regarding the OP, I imagine it would be the same way any submissive or person decides on a partner - by getting to know them in and out of the bedroom (or kennel). What they look for likely varies from person to person, but given the puppy mentality, warmth and humour is probably high on the list, so playtime will be fun.

The one I want to be owned by is confident without being arrogant, has a great sense of humour and has a very similar viewpoint on the world as mine. He is kind, silly and he respects my wants and needs.

In other words, he's the man I want to be in a long-term relationship with. The same criteria apply to him as they would to any other guy I was considering a relationship with, kinky or vanilla. The kink is almost secondary.
