i'm a masochist who really enjoys being bound and tormented out of the blue. i understand a lot of people get really into the art and aesthetics of elegant restraints, and i totally respect that, but it does nada for me. i wanna be helpless in the hands of someone with a sick sense of humour and surprise bondage is the best bondage.

the love of my life is more than willing to accommodate my cravings. there's a strength differential--i'm thin but strong ( bench about 230 what what) and she has a couple of pounds on me but is also, you know, a bit of a spoiled princess in background. so what are some good, quick ways to tie somebody up that we can try? zip ties work pretty well. it seems like duct tape would work but that seems to be more of a two or three person job (ahhh high school, sweet bird of youth!). it seems like real straight jackets might work (since that's kind of what they're designed for) but i've never wanted to shell out the cash to give them a blind try (if anyone has experience lemme know).

ps i'm new so i hope this is where this question goes.

I, personally, use leather wrist and ankle cuffs and chains almost exclusively for bondage. I have a homemade bed restraint system using chains and clasps from the hardware store. One end of the chain goes around each of the four legs of my bed and is fastened with a clasp. There's a lobster-claw type of clasp on the other end that clips into a ring on the cuffs. It's very fast to clip/unclip, but it does take a minute to put the cuffs on. If you're looking to do a takedown scene, that system probably won't work. There's also bondage tape, which is sort of like duct tape but only sticks to itself and nothing else. Still might not be as fast as you want, but it's an option.

How hard do you intend to struggle?

Straightjackets do look like fun (never tried one either) but I imagine they would be extremely difficult for one person to get on you if you intended to fight back. Yes, they are made for quick restraint but typically there would be multiple people holding you down and/or sedatives to stop you fighting.

If you weren't planning on fighting all that hard, there are probably lots of options, but if struggling is part of the enjoyment I don't think many things are going to be all that quick unless she's much, much stronger and/or more badass than you.

If it's just the arms you want restraining, good old police issue cuffs make for quick restraint since they often do need to be applied by just one officer on a struggling suspect.

bondage tape isn't *quite* fast enough, in the sense that i have to "let her win" more than either of us really like.

leather cuffs are a good idea though. i can see those being both fast and effective.

yeah that's exactly my reservation about straight jackets! probably worth buying one someday to see, though.

she's definitely more badass than i am to the extent that being a badass is a state of mind. but i'm an ex jock who still spends hours a week at the gym so...

i'm all for police cuffs, but one of the eccentricities she's acquired from a misspent youth in which she was too deeply into the east coast "bondage scene" is that she's very snobbish about considering handcuffs "amateur hour." the love of my life can be a difficult person.

Police cuffs might be an option as an interim step. She can cuff you fast and then put you in another form of bondage that's more to her liking and takes more time once you're immobilized.

Yes, this.
Plus, tell the cops that handcuffs are amateurish [;)]

I can't think of anything quicker than cuffs to get you somewhat immobilized. Her other options would be to come up with some sneaky way of tricking you into the bondage.

hmmm....yeah....the right move might be to try to sell the idea of police cuffs as more "punk rock" than "sorority girl-ish" (her ultimate fear, exacerbated by the fact she used to be a sorority girl). change perception, change reality.

Strength and size do not matter when it comes to subduing a person. It is all about knowledge of how the body moves and how to apply proper forces to the body to make it move the way you wish. If she learned some Hapkido submission holds she could make you do anything she wished, including dancing toward the restraints on your tip toes and begging to receive them vs her grip.

Do not take this suggestion lightly, if she intends to use techniques like this she would need to practice enough to have proper control to not break something. Pro tip, struggling to get away often is the cause of the injury even when the enforcer is using proper control. This means you would have to become familiar with being subdued before using it during playtime. Play safe if you choose to try this! Professional instruction recommended. Use with caution. Treat as you would any advanced bdsm technique.

With the cautionary statements over with, these techniques are done in classrooms all over the world every day without injuries. If you are being subjected to a proper submission hold you have two choices, go with the flow or snap. I can assure you however if done properly attempting to do anything the enforcer does not command will never even enter you mind. [;)]

Additional note: I felt like this spoke directly to your need of a more immediate submission. I find it works very well in that aspect. It is immediate raw power with no tools needed. Works great alone or as a transition to more permanent bindings.
