Was she your partner when he branded her?

The reason she is scarred is because the burns became infected. If the burn was open you should never apply burn ointment onto the broken skin.
2nd degree burns used in temporary branding are at a much higher risk of becoming infected.

i agree with everything you said and yes we were married at the time. i had no idea that this was even being discussed between them or i would have voiced my concerns.
i did know that the burns were 2nd degree but did not know that burn ointment was bad for them once the blisters had burst.
i have always kept burns clean and used ointment until they had scabbed over and have only one scar from a burn it was a bad one caused by the muffler on a lawn mower (ouchies damn i hate being clumsy).
Fortunately this "Dom" has moved on it seems since he has not contacted my wife for several weeks now. Another thing i am not very happy about though she knew He would not be here permanently i would have expected at least a goodbye from Him and she was hurt by not at least getting that.
To say the least i do not think this guy deserves any respect at all and i just hope that he doesn't cause greater damage to someone else. In my prejudiced opinion he doesn't deserve anyones gift of submission.

Instead of a single dot it's pulled across the skin. It takes a while but isn't too bad pain wise at least for me. But then I was someone who when cigar ash was put into my cutting giggled because it tickled.

I am getting a brand done for my birthday next year.
I designed it myself and it is meant to symbolize my family and our children.
We did a lot oft research and found a professional with whom we are very comfortable.
Methode will be snakebite.

For the Guys birthday, the same person will guide and help him with doing a cutting on me, symbolizing our relationship.
After 15 years oft marriage and 3 kids, we are confident that we will last.

I've had temporary brands from a wand which was fun but thankfully wasn't permanent. It was with the ex-Master which of course, things did not work out.

Now if Master would like to give me one, which maybe one day he might, I'm ok with that. We've been together long enough and our relationship is secure and we both know neither of us is going anywhere. It's the only way I would accept one. Now if we were not in a long term loving relationship or we fought often and had problems then I would not be able to do it. Thankfully that is definitely not our case.

ETA: We've also done cuttings and I have tats so for me it's not really a huge deal and I trust Master with my entire life. Plus, the way I look at it, it's just skin.

Sounds like you have both put a lot of thought into this Sandra. I think designing the pattern and living with it for a while is a really good idea.

Eventide, sandra and littlewonder, are your cuttings skin removal ? and if not how did you ensure a deep enough wound to heal with a scar?

Mine were just scalpel and cigar ash, then 2 weeks of lemons crusted in salt, and peroxide soaks to eat the scab away

Why cigar ash? I know that some old methods of scarification included fresh ashes but isn't there other alternatives now?

I have three skin removals and with this technique you pack the wound with an abrasive substance (petroleum jelly and sugar) to keep the wound open and hopefully encourage keloid scarring.

The professional is going to do most of it, with my partner doing some minor, mostly symbolic stuff.
I really like the body modder we found. She is very open, and pro kink, and more than willing to be part of a scene.

Glad you are enjoying the thread SeekingTrinity

Sounds like you're sorted sandra. I think the symbolic stuff is very important and very personal to the whole experience.

Steve has branded and done skin removal at a couple of demo/workshops and its not the same. Its really important to be in a tranquil environment imo.

Btw, before you get a brand, its a good idea to be on a good multi vitamin for at least a couple of months before and that you are in tip top form when you have the brand. It does tend to knock peoples immune systems a little.

The cigar ash is highly acidic and it helps.completely irritate the wound. It prevents it from healing and the body spends more time trying to get the irritant out then healing the wound. Same with the lemon.

Both are needed for any half way decent scar.

Ok thanks Eventide. I haven't been involved in cutting, as in slicing the skin to make a scar, only skin removal.

While Master hasn't given me any permanent ones yet, I do have a permanent one or two from the ex-Dom and just from me being a huge klutz. Being that I have ultra-sensitive skin, it doesn't take much for me to scar. No skin removal, just deep enough cuts that leave a roped keloid which for me, like I said, is relatively easy.

littlewonder, you are lucky to keloid, providing you keloid evenly.

Ilyrium, I was talking about red heads with fair skin. Red headed people often have higher levels of pheomelanin and this reddish pigment often shows in the skin colouring.
