Several months ago my Master and I agreed that we wouldn't get holiday gifts for each other to save money but now he's told me that he got me a gift. Normally I'm very good at picking out gifts but I'm pretty thrown off and I'm not sure what to do. Should I get him one? I feel like I should. What do you get such a wonderful Master?

We put a dollar limit on gifts this year. What does he need? Does he always lose his gloves, then get him a new pair. Does he love any book series? Then get him the newest.

I feel you can rarely go wrong with a gift certificate for massage. The Massage Envy chain is running a special right now.

The very best gifts are personal and from the heart. Without knowing this man, I can't make more of a recommendation that that.

Our biggest non-sexual connections are literary in nature but he owns everything!!! All the works we talk about - he owns. Actually, he's a huge geek (Star Wars, Doctor Who, etc.)

OP, what would you buy Me if you decided to get Me a Christmas gift? You don't know Me and have no idea of the things I like. By the way, I'm even the person for whom the massage gift certificate would fail because I can not stand people touching Me from behind if I don't know them. No matter what suggestions you get here, all they are would be shots in the dark. None of us know this guy. You do. Doesn't that make you the best person to figure it out?

I got mine the newest RC car that he's been wanting. He out did me. (We did Christmas early this year when my Mom visited)

FR You should respect his desire to not spend money for him, also because you don't know how he got your gift and if it costed him money. I think you should just make his day special in a personal way (so thinking about something he told you), if he told you so this means he cares more about the thougt. An idea could be a letter, heart felt, personal and showing some effort in making it nice. Once my ex girlfirend asked me what I wanted for my birthday, because she said she could not come out with anything as I had all the stuff I needed for my intrests, I answered I wanted a picture of her, she thought I was kidding her but went to a photografer who took and printed the picture than framed and wrapped it... well... it's been the gift she ever done to me in 5 years of relationship that I appreciated most.

Gifts need not be expensive, or even cost in terms of money at all, to be meaningfull. Employ your imagination, coupled with your understanding of him, to find something less tangible and more creative than what you find in the mall. You could... Get yourself a video on massage techniques (from the library if you feel you should adhere strictly to his zero dollar rule), then practice on him for hours. Lingerie for yourself will often be taken as a gift to him by a man of Dominant tastes. Reinforce the idea this year by carefully arranging yourself among the packages under the tree on Xmas morning. Present him with a book on Shibari, then clear a space among the torn wrapping papers for him to wrap his last present himself. You get the idea...
