What does that do to the newbies then?   Is it clarifying or confusing?

calamitysandra -> RE: Renaming Ask a Master and Ask a Mistress (12/23/2013 12:40:08 PM)

How about a triad?

"General", "Relationship", "How to/technical advice"?

I like the idea of "Discussions About Female-Led Relationships" and "Discussions About Male-Led Relationships" a lot. In addition to the two sections named in the op, that would also replace "Ask a submissive/slave".

This is a good point. To be fair, there would need to be a "Trans* Led Relationship" or "Non-binary Led Relationship" forum, but I don't imagine too many people would have an issue with it.

mnottertail -> RE: Renaming Ask a Master and Ask a Mistress (12/23/2013 12:42:02 PM)

How about we wrap the whole fuck-o-ree up into Politics and go at each other with shanks?

I would so be so very in for that, but I must confess; that is probably not the majority view.

SylvereApLeanan -> RE: Renaming Ask a Master and Ask a Mistress (12/23/2013 12:44:00 PM)

You're just gearing up to angle for a Donate Blow Jobs to Ron" section. [8D]

ChatteParfaitt -> RE: Renaming Ask a Master and Ask a Mistress (12/23/2013 12:45:22 PM)

Let's please not.

Frankly I wish the P&R section were removed from the rest of the discussion sections. Often when looking for a thread I have to scroll through pages of P&R crap er content.

VideoAdminChi -> RE: Renaming Ask a Master and Ask a Mistress (12/23/2013 12:48:43 PM)

You can limit your search by forum. For example, under Search in Forum, highlighting Community Discussions will exclude all of Casual Banter, including P&R.

LOL.Ahem.  All sections contain a donate blowjobs to Ron section (its in the FAQs in each forum,  check it out)

Do you feel that the Ask a Master and Ask a Mistress sections should be renamed to reflect a more gender specific area for questions to be asked?

ETA - for example "Discussions About Female-Led Relationships" and "Discussions About Male-Led Relationships" ~ Chi

I voted "No" and "Let me explain".

First off, I personally don't identify as a Master but I get the gist of trying to keep the forum titles simple. Ok, it does create an opportunity for a minority to take offense and as soon as CM starts catering to such precious arseholes to a point of changing policy for them, I'm outa here. Noting that this particular thread threatens to get that ball rolling....

Secondly and though it doesn't seem to be part of the topic question, I'm absolutely against combining "Ask a Master" with "Ask a Mistress". Just wanted that on the record. Overall, I think "Ask a Master" has less traffic whereas my experience of "Ask a Mistress" has been that only P & R is more hostile. That the ladies are more inclined to close ranks and attack as a group (dare I say..., mob/clique?) whereas us fellas tend to duke out our differences 1o1.

And "Ask a Mistress" gives the male subs somewhere to spam the boards with their do-me fantasies. Not in my backyard, thanks.... ;)

Ok, begs the reasonable question as to why no gender specific submissive forum. Works fine as is for me but then I'm not submissive hard-wired to have given it any real thought.

"Ask a Male Dominant" and "Ask a Female Dominant" would be more user friendly (or less intimidating) to newbies, IMO. And alphabetically, the gals move above us on the main board, in case that's important to some.

Focus.

It is probably all the changes here in the forum lately

LadyPact -> RE: Renaming Ask a Master and Ask a Mistress (12/23/2013 1:42:57 PM)

I went with yes and let Me explain.

I've never seen the point of having the two sections separated in the first place. The majority of the questions that are asked that are dynamic/relationship based that are directed toward the person in power angle, the gender of the person in power really doesn't matter much.

If we're talking about renaming just for the sake of renaming, I have to say that I don't see much of a point. Little more than a 'feel good' fix that has a hope of being more appealing. If we really feel that putting lipstick on a pig is how to go about it, please pick out a nice shade of red.

Focus, I'm going to give you credit. The NIMBY bit was exceptionally honest and I don't know how many male Dominants would come straight out and say it. The Ask A Master board, in My opinion, doesn't get nearly the amount of trolling type trash that the Ask A Mistress board does. Of course, since all of these discussion/topic types are only being focused on retaining new posters, I'm not sure if that's going to come into play.

Since no one respects that people come to Ask a Master or Ask a Mistress, those sections don't exist except in name.

HipPoindexter -> RE: Renaming Ask a Master and Ask a Mistress (12/23/2013 4:26:33 PM)

retain all the existing sub-forums and add one called "PLEASE NOTICE MY WANK FANTASY" which should reduce the noise to signal ratio in both the ask a mistress and ask a submissive sections.

Fixed.

And I support this suggestion.

I always begin the search with today's posts. I really like that feature. If there's a way to remove P&R from that list, I don't know it.

VideoAdminChi -> RE: Renaming Ask a Master and Ask a Mistress (12/23/2013 7:32:54 PM)

Oh, I misunderstood. I don't know of a way to do that either.
