Ahh, thank you for the write up, I see the point. According to his college acquaintances like Terry Bradshaw, Phil was at some point a hardcore jock and 'country boy', back when 'redneck' and 'long hair' were mutually exclusive.

I hadn't factored in the lifestyle changes from when the family business first hit it big.

That's an interesting addition to the mix... what's the source?

Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson, Miss Kay, Jep and Reed share about pressures of fame, addictions, suicide and faith

Duck Dynasty's Robertson family open up about faith, family and the struggles of fame in a new short film released yesterday.

'I am Second' seeks to share personal testimonies of how God has been faithful in times of trial and adversity. The Robertsons' addition to the site features Phil, Miss Kay, Jep and Reed Robertson sharing honestly about the struggles they have faced in the past, including alcohol and drug addiction and suicidal thoughts.

...But before the business began, Phil struggled with drug and alcohol addiction after experimenting at college. It came as a shock to his young wife, who says "Phil, who had never drank before, started drinking...it was scary to me."

Things spiralled out of control, and Phil was constantly in trouble with the law, sometimes going away into hiding for two to three months at a time, leaving Miss Kay and their three young boys at home alone. That is until, during what Phil describes as his "lowest point", he forced them to leave.

...Son Jep became addicted to drugs and alcohol as a teenager, "I pretty much did anything that was put in front of me," he says.

First the bible is pretty clear about homosexuality, sorry but it is, at least in Leviticus.

You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination. (NKJ, Leviticus 18:22)

If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them. (NKJ, Leviticus 20:13)

That was directed at the people with the mutilated penises. It does not have any relevance for Christians. Though I do am of the opinion that Christian homosexuals will do wel to be circumspect and discerning and reserved in their relations.

it leaves us with the one thing that Jesus said, "Judge not lest ye be judged." Speak your beliefs, but leave everything else to God.

Thus: Do not do anything - like using condoms or vaccinations - to limit the spread of sexually transferred diseases, for that is taking things out of the hands of God.

And HIV/AIDS, soldiers being killed in combat, natural disasters are not God passing judgement on Homosexuality, sins of America or anything else. Remember when God smites a city or a people, he dont leave anyone behind except the righteous, and when it came to cities, he told the righteous to get out.

Well, sexually transmitted diseases raging have a tendency to leave the righteous behind to reproduce and to reduce the reproductive success of those who have not been circumspect, discerning and reserved in their sexual relations. Thus sexually transmitted diseases are extremely beneficial for the afflicted populations - i.e. for their survivors. Populations that are without such diseases will not evolve to a higher level of civilization.

And as for natural disasters, such also benefit their species: survival of the fittest and all that.

Praise God for providing us with these means to improve our species!

If AKDS/HIV was a plague on homosexuals, then answer this:

Why are people other than homosexuals getting it?

Duh! If they weren't getting it, there would be no reason for homosexuals to get it either.
