One of our members suggested that I start up a site dealing with bipolar, fibromyalgia and crocheting. I went ahead and got a HTML5 Canvas book for Dummies (yes, I consider myself a dummy on some things, especially backgrounds). I am ordering a regular HTML5 book after the first of the year. I want to earn some money on it (advertising certain stores that deals with crafting). I want to get a better digital camera so I can show off my projects, if not sell them. I can't decide if I want it in a shape of a blog or not.

Any suggestions would be grateful. It has been over 10 years since I did web design and I know things has changed.

I'm not exaclt a beginner but far from an expert, loo. So easy to moderate patterns. I understand if you don't want to share but I would appreciate it.

You won't make any money unless you get tons of traffic, so Search Engine Optimization should be a primary consideration. If this is going to be more than just a labor of love, I suggest you stick to just the crafting (unless there's a tie-in to FM and bipolar that I'm missing.) That will be more attractive to advertisers.
