Status: offline 		No, I didn't know what it meant for months and it kept confusing me. Then one day it was explained in a post (the person was kind enough to say what it meant).
So don't feel stupid. It's not in any bdsm dictionary I've ever seen (maybe it should be).

Good question... I'm thinking... This may take awhile....

I'm assuming it applies to the BDSM lifestyle, and without sounding flippant, i'm taking it as, 'it is what it is and this is what we do'.. Forgive me as I really suck at expressing myself in words... But basically thats how i take it..

How do you see it?

I see it as yet another annoying acronym that really doesn't mean crap.

WIITWD: What It Is That We Do

WYDINNWID: What You Do Is Not Necessarily What I Do

We can't say we because or state anything as "all-inclusive" because anyone can tell for themselves that once they get involved in a discussion about ANYTHING that is a topic within "this"  there is no standard & people tend to argue quite assertively about their different views.

Besides, every time I here those words I think of that equally annoying song... Doing That Thing We Do

(  make it go away!)

Status: offline 		While we're at it......any other acronyms that people are unsure of? I know when I first got here there were several. Then again it could have just been because I never chat online anymore and was missing out on the recent lingo. IMO and IMHO (In My Opinion, & In My Humble Opinion) took me a few minutes to understand at first. Google has actually been good at helping with some of the lingo I don't know yet. I find the best answers by using Define: word you don't know goes here. The definition from Wikipedia is usually the most accurate but use your judgment. If the definition doesn't seem to fit the way the acronym was used, it may be the wrong one.
