I've noticed many of the CM ladies post feet pics. While many of them are very pretty and well cared for, some are not. I saw one pair of feet that I thought belonged to a man, and another pair that should have been running the Kentucky Derby. I think few people truly understand the psychology behind the feet as they pertain to assuming a position of dominance or submission. The true irony are the women I've met who put $$$$ into pedicures, toe rings, and "cute" shoes only to think it odd or gross that a man might want to enjoy rubbing, licking, kissing, or worshipping her feet. Your thoughts?

Status: offline 		I keep my feet pedicured, but I don't post any foot pics. I think this is more of a guy thing, although there seem to be quite a few Dommes into getting foot massages. I have ticklish feet, so I don't like my feet messed with. I'd rather have a sub who was more into my leather boot-wearing. Foot fetishists, no, not interested in them.

Status: offline 		To each his own. I personally love a good footman. However; I have found it to be a bit of a drag when I meet someone who "needs" the woman's feet to perfectly pedicured and adorned at all times. Or even worse, someone who seems more interested in my feet than in me.

I think most women actually do understand the psychology behind it. Many women simply do not enjoy it. And since it is often a Femdom/malesub activity, she calls the shots. If a woman sinks enough money into it she may not want anyone messing up her pedicure and or shoes. I have had men ask if they could cum on my GOOD leather boots. (hell no is the right answer here).

The thing with pedicures and rings and shoes is that they DO cost money and time. When there is a whole lot of fantasy and fetish play, I think malesubs often forget that it is the Domme who has the financial cost in keeping the fantasy going. (fetish clothes, shoes, pedicures, etc.) Perhaps if you offered to pay for her next pedicure she may be a bit more open or receptive to you wanting to enjoy her feet.

I don't think I'd call that irony. Not everything a woman does is with consideration to a man's approval or arousal. It may be that she likes the way the shoes match her favourite dress, or make her butt look perky in jeans, or feel girly or fun. It might be that she likes the skin to be soft and the nails to be well trimmed because it's comfortable. It might be because she values good hygiene and takes pride in the appearance of all parts of the body.

I like to take care of my hair - wash it, style it, get it cut, put nice accessories in it. I'd still think it was pretty odd if a guy wanted to lick, kiss or worship my hair.

It's not ironic, so much as it's 'doing what pleases her without regard for the arousal or fetishes of others'. Irony might be, for example, a woman who chooses to avoid pedicures and wear dirty running shoes in the hope of discouraging her foot fetishist boyfriend, only to find out that unadorned and stinky turns him on all the more.

My thoughts are that it's ungentlemanly to compare women to horses. I also think it makes women nervous when a man criticizes the body parts of another woman, because she thinks, "I wonder if he's critical of my body in the same way." So it's something to be cautious about, I'd say.

You are born with the feet you get and if they are long and graceful... short and stubby or what you might consider man feet or female... they are what they are. Can you provide me with a way that this can be changed? Say... like the shape of your cock. You can pamper it, but honey, you aren't changing it. It is what it is.

Now, if the psychology of it all comes into play in the form of dominance and submission, as you indicate... you might have to explain that one to me because it shouldn't be about the 'beauty of the feet... but the fact that 'she' has them and is dominant over you. I think it may be the psychology behind YOUR idea of dominance and submission, rather than an overarching psycology of D/s in general. Not everyone is into foot fetish, but that does not mean that the submissives and dominants who aren't into feet are any more or any less dominant or submissive as those who are.

If feet float your boat and make you happy, more power to you. However not everyone desires to be reduced down to just one body part of your interest. Women aren't putting money into pedicures, foot jewelry, and shoes to impress you. Id gather they are pretty much indifferent to what others think. I know when I paint my toenails or buy new shoes, it's not with the thought of who Im going to impress by dong it. It's done because I like doing it or it's shoes that I like wearing, rather than what I think someone else is going to like. But then again, my choice in footwear is decidedly unsexy to begin with. I wear what is comfortable to me, not what I think is going to turn on some random stranger.

I don't find it ironic at all that men would read something else into my motivation on anything, they've been doing that since forever.

Status: offline 		I get pedicures, paint my toenails and care for my feet myself in-between pedicures because I like to have pretty feet. I also admit that I'd like to have a foot boy who will pamper my feet and lick and kiss them. But if they are awful looking, what foot guy will want to? In my experience, few dommes have a fetish orientation. Even if they enjoy certain activities, they don't want subs to focus on them or make a big deal about them, especially in the initial getting-to-know-each-other stage. Some women enjoy foot worship; some don't. The fact that a woman gets pedicures, etc., doesn't suggest to me that she wants an excessive amount of attention paid to her feet. After all, pedicures are very common among women who have a completely vanilla orientation. Based on this post, I'd say the issue isn't really what women are doing; it seems like you need to get better control of your fetish.

Most dommes don't care what you want to do with their feet; they want you to care about what they care about, and go from there.
