ORIGINAL: ResidentSadist For those seeking a relationship not just sex, the BDSM umbrella encompasses the relationship or sexual tools we use, not who we are. We still need to be good relationship material. Like lilwonder says, if you can't get a date in the vanilla world, don't expect one in BDSM (or something like that). So your question caught my interest and this is what I found. The Top 20 Traits Women Want in a Man Objective To identify, quantify, and rank the traits that make a man "hot" to women. Methods and Subjects We surveyed more than 1,000 American women ages 21 to 54 in two online polls. One was conducted by Opinion Research Corporation, based in Princeton, New Jersey, and the other was done on BestLifeOnline.com. Results We organized traits and characteristics according to the percentage of women who ranked them within the top 10 attributes. Women rated traits relating to character and personality much higher than they scored those reflecting physical attractiveness. For example, only 13 percent of women included muscular build as a requisite for hotness, while 66 percent placed moral integrity as a "make me quiver" characteristic. Check out the supporting data. Top 5 Character Traits ................. RS, the study you quoted is somewhat relevant, but I sure wish there could be a way of seeing what qualities women actually DID go for instead of what they SAID was important. There's a difference between words and actions sometimes. That is true, we want that whole list, which is not realistic, so you need to prioritize what you need vs. what you want. Whenever I found someone I wanted, they were not what I needed, except in two cases where one died and one wouldn't have worked long term because I was in love with someone else, who was bad for me. So I believe that list is a good one and you hope to go for qualities. One problem may be that the traits of faithfulness, reliability, being a good father, etc. are not traits you see right away. It is the more visible traits like looks, sexual prowess, humor that you see first and a lot of men who have those charming qualities may not possess the deeper ones.
