This is a PURELY silly, "must be greener on the other side"...thread!!! I am not looking for serious answers!!

It is pouring down rain here and I need groceries. I start thinking...

"Darn! if I was a Dom, I would SOOOOO be on the phone getting him to bring me a gallon of milk"

What one or two (non-sexual) things would you do if you got to be on "the other side of the /"??

Eat breakfast for dinner. If it's after 12 noon then breakfast is not permitted as a meal here. French toast, bacon and fruit makes the best dinner!

I struggle sometimes with making decisions in my personal life. It's difficult for me to manage my emotions at times and DO something. I wanted to buy a couch for a long time, but it was just a real pain in the neck. (The process here is COMPLETELY different unless you want to pay thousands of dollars for a couch - which I didn't). So I simply avoided it. Then a friend of mine who is all bossy and stuff threatened to buy one for me and have it shipped to Asia. It took a couple of weeks, hiring a Korean to do the language leg work, setting up an account with the bank (that took me 3 hours and paying that same bilingual Korean person to help me with it), doing a whole lot of visual work on the computer while not understanding a lot of what I was looking at, NUMEROUS emails back and forth with my hired assistant, and then the normal waiting around for delivery (while crossing my fingers that it wasn't a dud that I ordered sight unseen cause that's how it's done here).

Yes, I have a loveseat now. It's red. I've had a lot of laughter with girlfirends, a kiss or two from a sweet man, and dealt with some terrible grief on that thing. It got me out of my isolation by having a place for friends to sit and drink a cup of tea with me... it brought color to my drab apartment... and it is a fun story "I was ordered to buy a couch." Who does that?!

I knew it was going to be a HUGE hassle to get a couch. And it was. But I couldn't really see its worth at the time because I was caught up in the anticipated frustration. THAT's the thing I have difficulty with. For work? No problem with hassles. Helping a friend? No problem. Getting my own 'You deserve this; you are worth the effort' feeling to take root... not so much. I think folks on the other side don't have that problem.

Fuckers.

This might not be considered non-sexual, but I'm curious to know what it's like to be in subspace -- but not that curious. I've heard it feels similar to "taking a mini-vacation" or exhilarating.

I also don't know what subdrop is about, other than crashing from the lowering of endorphin levels, etc. IMO coming down off an induced high is not worth what it takes to reach that high. Having an even ebb and flow of rushes is good enough for me.

Unless I'm taking this too literally, I don't understand why you wouldn't ask your man to bring home milk or anything else you and the household needed if he was en route home. It would be less dutiful for my sub to neglect to mention we were out of milk while I was already on the road. How inefficient to make a separate trip to the store later. If you are in or want to be in a D/s relationship, you are in an intimate partnership where you both work together. If it's not, then you're short-changing yourself.

Y'know, I was thinking that I LIKE being a Dom, and there's nothing the other side would have for me. I forgot about subspace. Yeah, I would love to try it, somehow, without getting the beating that happens to be the ticket in.

Sorry TieMeinKnottss, you did say you weren't looking for serious answers. The above was kind of a Fast Reply going by the post prior to mine. Let's see ... It would still be experiencing subspace, although I would want to share this experience with my partner. (I suppose the closest I could get to that would be for us to have simultaneous orgasms. Uh-oh, crossed the non-sexual line.)

I have been recently reverting.. I have changed my classification to switch but I think I really do want to be the Boss & wear the pants all the time.. like I was in my first relationship..

I am not very good with a hammer.. I would have him build things for me.. lots of wood things.. all sorts of wood things.. I would direct & supervise.. he had better be good with a hammer!

Dom here - a very, very rich $$$ straight friend knows that I do some mighty fancy food prep.  He was having a cold buffet for about 15 of his (is there a smiley face for) high in the air nosed friends.

He "ordered" me to do a buffet w/o limit on cash.  YEE-HAW.  When he asked, "Is my buffet ready?" (Guests were entertained with cocktails in front parlor - decorated with museum quality Chinese porcelains, screens, etc.  Ceiling in gold leaf , walls yellow/orange silk- no SHIT!)  I looked and said, "If this were for the Queen of England, I wouldn't change an olive."

That was the fun part.  Clean-up?  Where's a kitchen slut when I need one?

He'd start taking yoga and we'd go to Kripalu in the Berkshires in the spring.

Be careful, all you Doms wishing for sub-space.  There IS a "top space," y'know?  And I say be careful because it's very easy to lose control of the situation.  And we all know Top keeps control.  Fortunately, in both instances that I "lost it," the sub called "red" and good thing....

"Top space" while in control?  Great fun... stay on the edge, keep looking down so you don't fall (and take the poor bottom with you.)  That's been my majority experince.

If I were on the other side someone would be making me dinner. They'd also be mopping the floors and doing laundry. Even a 2 week break would be nice.

Yes, I am crazy about feathered creatures. I have a dozen chickens, 3 ducks, 5 geese, and 2 parakeets.

Revise that number. Just got 14 new chicks and 5 turkeys.

If it can be of any help from an italian point of view you are already eating dinner for breakfast.

So I could loudly go on about how my submission was a gift on my profile and claim that I'm a princess. A pretty pretty princess.

(Actually, I do the latter anyway).
