I am not being obtuse and I am not toeing any line. I am stating my real beliefs on this issue. I just did not see it as offensive. Someone else may and I don't invalidate that. The same way some found Phil Robertson's statements offensive and others did not. Now on a slightly different issue I DID find the behavior of some on the left who said that the Romneys should not have named the baby Kieran because it means black (or dark) to be offensive. Now those comments were racist and offensive. And I agree (without the oversized lettering). All racists are scumbags.

I saw that on Yahoo. Boy, that's pretty low trying to attack Mitt Romney by using a black baby who just happens to be his grandson. What did those people think they were going to prove by that? The only thing they proved was how ignorant they were.

It was not hard to hear. I clearly heard one of the commentators sing "one of these things is not like the others." But she did not say the child did not belong here. I also clearly heard others call the baby "cute" and "most gorgeous." These are hardly the words of people attempting to "mock" a child for being black. (BTW- they are right he IS a very beautiful child.) If anyone was offended, they should have apologized. That would be the decent thing to do, but the child is adopted, and black and looks different from his adopted family. I know some people like to say "I don't see color."That's actually a myth and a lie. We ALL see color and we should. (after all skin color the most obvious things about being black.) MHP show By watching the video in your link, I realized that you didn't read the initial article. The offensive bit from the show *was* hard to hear; I'll grant you that. Fair being fair; I found this apology to be authentic (although contrary to what was said there *was* a qualifier). Perry Apologizes Kudos to the young lady for giving one of the most genuine apologies to come out of a sewer under a PMSNBC, PPL's nose in a long time.
