we have a dinner rez for 7 courses plus champagne pairings at 8 but uhhh.....i'll probably start pre-gaming with bourbon around 5 while waiting for my gf to get off work.

The dungeon room at the local bath house was reserved more than a month ago. Boy has the room starting at 6, I'm scheduled to arrive at 9.  We plan on him having a champagne enema to bring in the New Year.  (Yes, yes.  I know - and will follow - all the cautions.)  Complimentary buffet and continental breakfast.

What a way to do NYE - be naked with 250 of your nearest, dearest, anonymous, gay, male "friends." LOL!

P.S. Meds preclude alcohol, dammit!

I'm not. I've made myself available as a designated driver this year, and I am seriously considering quitting drinking. I need to lose weight, and I've been hitting the sauce pretty hard the last couple months. Besides, it's always fun to hit a checkpoint and the cops have to let you go 'cause your breath isn't flammable. Last time I did it was three years ago, and I had a good time barhopping that way.

I manage a bar that caters to an older crowd ( 50's). We will open at 2 this afternoon and have last call at 7PM. I'll start at 2 when I open the place. I'll be at home by 7:30 where I will remain.

There was a time I'd be right with you. Unfortunately, I used alcohol to self medicate pain. Not a good idea.

Himself and I have a tradition of spending the evening alone together, sharing a bottle of good champagne. There will be enough left over to make champagne risotto.

And we'll start early, shortly after dinner, and may not make it til midnight. We're old codgers now.

I'll have a couple of beers with dinner. I just brewed an 80 penny heavy ale and it came out great. I'll be asleep by 10. I don't go out on "Amateur Night" and haven't in decades.

Sorry for the TMI, but I have a tiny bladder and if I want an uninterrupted scene involving bondage for any length of time, I have to abstain from drinking anything. So I'll have a few after sex, most likely plum wine to go with the Chinese food and then:

Hot chocolate
Raspberry vodka
Rumpleminz
Godiva chocolate liquor

We're going out to dinner, then heading home where we will stay. We'll probably just have a pint or two with dinner, and we'll pop open the champagne a little before midnight.

Well, I've been coping with some pretty heavy stuff for the last two years, so I've tried really hard to not crack the bottle before 6 each night. The good news is I've bought stocks in vodka, and the dividends have been AWESOME lately.

In my hood it can be hard to distinguish firecrackers from celebratory gunshots, so I usually keep close to the ground with the dogs and stay fairly sober and alert [:D]

Personally, I plan on getting as drunk as a skunk. I'm starting when I get out of work. 2013 was an awful year for me and I'll be glad to see it go.

Master and I don't drink so I guess the answer is not at all. Master is working tonight so it's just me at home and I'll probably be in bed before midnight.

Even when he is home, we don't go out. We stay inside and watch a good movie, sex, maybe some play but that's it.

Not at all. I haven't had a drink in the better part of a year. And if I had one now, I'd be asleep ten minutes later.

Now I know that at least 2 holidays (July 4th) are primarily just another reason to party get drunk as if real drunks need that...so I wonder why. Why is it alcohol is such a big deal, almost universal...for holidays ? We can do all of this stufffffff...anytime.

Yes, I rarely drink but also rarely have anymore than 4-6 Coronas and that for me now...is a real beer buzz. If there is shall we say...anything else in the air, I'll be asleep myself in less than 6. So I refrain until late 8-9 PM to do anything so I can be awake, aware and awash in euphoria with 2013 being over, realizing that 2014 is only a change in the calender...nothing more.

However, for something new, we did split a small bottle of champagne last night while watching football and movies. It was dessert after our annual NYE seafood fest.

LOL!  Glad I could help.

Would acting as an ashtray help?  Master/Top/Sir has slave/sub/boy on his knees next to him.  When the cigar ash is long enough to flick, Master does so into slave's open mouth.  Slave gulps it down.  Since cigars make me have lots of saliva (tasty!) drooling spit into the ash-tray at hand is fun, too.

Cigarettes? Not so much.
