Everyone has them, problem is keeping them. I've always found that to keep a resolution, it has to be something that you have to do every day, so that it becomes a habit. Habits takes at least 3 weeks to become a habit, and only a couple of days to lose. What are some of your new years resolutions.

anniezz338 -> RE: New Years Resolution (12/31/2013 12:56:24 PM)

My New Year's resolution is no New Year's resolutions. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

OsideGirl -> RE: New Years Resolution (12/31/2013 1:47:29 PM)

I don't do resolutions for New Years day either.

freedomdwarf1 -> RE: New Years Resolution (12/31/2013 2:03:08 PM)

Nor do I.

Go to the range at least twice a month. It'd be more but the closest range is almost an hour from here.

Love more.

The biggest reason New Year's resolutions fail is because they are attached to that special event. Once the event passes, so does the impetus to keep the resolution. It's far simpler and far more effective to make changes in your life when you feel comfortable. I joined Weight Watchers in May of 2012 because I was ready for it, not because I was trying to aim for some special event. This is really just a long-winded way of saying I don't do New Year's resolutions either.

FR

I want to rid myself of negative self-talk and guilt when it comes to food. So far, I've lost 100 lbs with about 50 more to go to get to a healthy BMI. I'll have to remind myself "It's just food...it isn't as if you killed someone."

PeonForHer -> RE: New Years Resolution (12/31/2013 4:07:23 PM)

I'm going to try going out through my front door to see what happens. I might even do it twice.

Make a profile named "More".

You'll have to do that on a different site because there's already a profile here by that name. [:D]
(Female sub in Bangkok who hasn't been active for nearly 4 years, unless she's hiding her last log-off date.)

Hey, nothing shows up under "LoveMore" -- unless it's a hidden profile.

* Loving More is a Resolution we should all strive to keep day in and day out, year after year.

I'm going to be somewhat different than previously.

I will continue on a path of change.

I will challenge the 7 brain cells I have left after having emerged from the late 60's.

I will move forward even as I know that I can't find my wallet.

(Or my keys).

littlewonder -> RE: New Years Resolution (12/31/2013 5:18:10 PM)

I don't make resolutions. I think they're a waste of time.

No expectations means no disappointments which means I will have a better chance of doing the things I want to accomplish because there is no pressure.

sexyred1 -> RE: New Years Resolution (12/31/2013 5:52:22 PM)

My resolution is to survive cancer in a fierce way, not a wimp way.

Continue to build my terrorist organization to force the world governments to move the tectonic plates back into position to reestablish the super continent Pangaea, resurrect Marilyn Chambers and to exile the Kardashians to a habitat orbiting any of Saturn's moons.

ShaharThorne -> RE: New Years Resolution (1/1/2014 4:32:32 AM)

Give Sexyred some love (You go girl!), try to lose some weight, party with my daughter at Anime Overload (someone get me a dress...and heels) and love my new doctor (especially if she specializes with fibromyalgia patients).
