And I am not talking about republicans or democrats, but sociologists!

They have politicized booze!

quote:

Washington (CNN) – If you are like most Americans, you imbibed in a few (or too many) drinks to ring in 2014 on Tuesday night. But did you ever stop to consider what those drinks say about your political leanings?

Here are the quick hits: Democrats like more clear liquors, think Absolut and Grey Goose vodkas and Tanqueray gin. Republicans, on the other hand, like more dark liquors like Jim Beam, Wild Turkey and Canadian Club. There were also a variety of bipartisan beverages, including Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, Malibu Coconut, Johnnie Walker Black and Seagram's 7 Crown.

Democrats, according to the analysis, drink more champagne and sparkling wine, the traditional drink to ring in the New Year.

What your New Year's drink of choice says about your politics

According to this, I am a republican, I drink Canadian whiskey, Scotch, and Bourbon.

How many of you are voting wrong?

Of course this may be that they have run out of significant differences in the right and left.

Well, you'll come to your political senses one day, Jlf. [;)]

It makes perfect sense. Men like to taste their booze, while pajama boys just want a little alcopop - maybe some peppermint schnapps in the cocoa. The partisan demographics are enough to create a statistical difference along ideological lines.

I consider myself a moderate. I support the environmental protections, gun ownership, health reform (not obamacare,) I am a Christian, but not an extremist like some on the right.

I even agree with closing the loopholes in the corporate tax code, and considering the present deficit problem, I have to say I am in favor of some tax increases, but also some cuts in spending.

And the one thing we really need to get rid of, Federal agencies that have overlapping areas of responsibility. Doing that would save the government 200 billion a year.

So those who brew their own high gravity beers are independents?

Libertarian used to mean something. Now, it's just a front for a TEA partier/Koch brother's slave.

Please learn something about distilled versus fermented.

You don't often make ignorant posts but that was definitely one.

Brewers are a touchy bunch, not known for a sense of humor, although not as bad as Martini drinkers, they take shit way too seriously.

Also, contrary to the old myth, you cannot tell a beer brewer/drinker by an over hanging stomach. If they do not over indulge in food, they dont get the gut.

Also, brewing is much older than distilling, so they get a little serious when defending it.

Although it might just be an urban myth, but it is said that brewers will give up family, the dog, and their soul before they give up the brewing apparatus.
