Better than those Republican/Tea Party that created the circumstances that brought the country nearly to a second economic depression. Or do you have selective amnesia?
The President and Democrats adverted the nation going into financial hell, kept jobs from being eliminated in whole chunks, and stabilized the majority of industries. Unemployment percentage has slowly been decreasing, and the financial markets are twice the size they were in 2007. Solid gains all the while being attacked and dogged by total Republican/Tea Party opposition.
There are PLENTY of conservatives that blame the President and Democrats for the bad economy back in 2008. Quite a few right on this forum board. Yet, things have improved and not one of those people can say 'Good Job, Mr. President!'. Because that would give your future arguments credibility...
If the Republican/Tea Party economic strategy was so much better, why do they not release it for study and implementation? The President, unlike Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, and many other 'asshole-conservatives' is a pretty reasonable, intelligent, and educated man. He'll go with a system that improves the economy, gets Americans back to work, and helps decrease suffering experienced. Notice they don't have anything like that, so therefore, they have NOTHING to offer the American People.

seems those things you claim were AVERTED, went on UNTIL the repubs took control of the house and said NO to everything dems and OBAMA wanted to do at which point the industries started to stablize and unemployment started to drop
what I find particularly amusing is how the economy is improving yet dems claim the repub house has blocked everything the dems and pres want to do
how can you on one hand say repubs are STOPPING EVERYTHING the dems and the pres wants to do then CREDIT the pres with the results
