I have been viewing the message boards for a little while now and thought it was time to step out of the shadows and say hello. I have a very demanding career in aviation, which at times requires me to work in excess of eighty hours per week and this side has at times been that little light at the end of a very long tunnel.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, the posters for giving me comic relief when I needed it and sound advice in your answers to other posters, which I can in turn incorporate into my own life.

I look forward to participating in the forums and perhaps in time gaining some new friends.

In my hectic world, you and a few others have become favorite posters of mine. I am a Floridian by way of Pennsylvania and alas am still using my GPS to navigate after a year an a half. I can route out airways and jetways but put me behind a steering wheel and I become direction impaired.

BTW--what is it with Florida and sadists?? You sound like a female version of Resident Sadist (which is a compliment because I love him. He is a doll!). I am guessing it is the humidity or the mosquitoes or maybe the fire ants!

Status: offline 		Thank you everyone for the warm welcome and the compliments once again, and I am honored to sound like the female version of Resident Sadist. I find that I am ever evolving and I know that I can learn from those of you who have been around the block a few more times than I.

I was fortunate to follow a different career path to Florida and even though I have traveled many places through my enlistment in the Air Force, I think the sadist and Florida connection could possibly be in the water and I'm going to drink all that I can get.

I moved from Sarasota to Daytona Beach which shifted the coastline from east to west. Somehow I can tell where the coastline is like a built in compass but I was totally screwed up when it shifted and I kept getting north and south reversed. I now live near Orlando in Davenport and for the first since the 70s, there is no coastline in my neighborhood. Now I am so directionally impaired I get all points of the compass twisted around. My slave felt so bad for me she bought me a Tom Tom GPS.

As luck would have it I have taken a new job which will put me in Ft. Lauderdale as of the beginning of Feb which I am completely happy about. I will be near the water and my mate (who is also a sadist). I am hoping that we do cross paths someday, I think fun would be had by all.
