To be honest, I wouldn't bother. Huge amounts of folks who have no intention of meeting, misrepresent themselves, or want to meet for a quick shag. Over here in the States, going to local munches and play parties works best. I assume that's the case in the UK as well.

OP - my advice for you would be to meet within a few cmails - that pretty much weeds out most of the time wasters, because they aren't going to make that much of an effort. You can then decide if there is anything there which would pretty much dictate wheither or not you pursue the relationship. Face-to-face negates online twatwaffles (love that word).

I met my Dom on here. We emailed a bit, then chatted on messenger. He lives about 10 minutes from me. Met in person in a public place with a safe call. Then started dating. We've been together for about 5 1/2 years.

i tend to meet people within the first few emails if they sound cool and are close, on a friendship basis... it does help weed out all of the people who never plan on showing up. if someone makes an excuse about being late.... no second chances, expect me to hitchhike to their house.... next, want at all to meet in private or even think about playing... next. as a result a large portion of the people i meet i end up having some sort of relationship with for a bit of time... though one of the people i liked the most i talked to for almost a decade before actually meeting.... because as soon as i came back into the state he jumped on it and showed up in my city.
