I have lived in Maine all My life. It is NORMAL for the temps to vary greatly. We have below zero temps one day, then 50 and rain the next, followed by below zero again. It's been that way since I was a kid. That's nothing new. It makes for great sledding if you have one of those old fashioned iron-runner sleds; you can go for MIIIIIILES on the thick and smooth crust if you have a big hill above a 20 acre field. [edited to add: Ok, maybe not MILES, since it's a 20 acre field...but the walk BACK seems like miles, heh heh] quote:
