It's interesting because a lot of places seemingly design their food to make it easy to eat on the run. When I worked as a courier, it was often so busy that there was literally no time to sit down and eat. A lot of people pick up something at the drive-through window and eat while they're driving.

But some sandwiches can be relatively clean and easy to eat with one's hands. I can't see eating a PB&J with a knife and fork.

Exactly! In fairness to Hizzoner, though, NYC slices have been taking steroids in recent years, with the result that some are far too big for the traditional technique.

D-Day ?...............oh yes that was in the 1939-45 war wasn't it ? I suspect the germans may have complained about the americans butting into what they regarded as a private party............terribly bad manners. And you arrived late too. Even worse manners.
