ORIGINAL: LanceHughes Gotta teach these young'uns EVERYTHING! The PA is named after Prince Albert, Consort to Queen Victoria. He was then able to put a ribbon through the ring and wrap the ribbon around his thigh, preventing a hard-on at court. And there you have it folks! Humiliation? Required to rest the ribbon on stall wall when taking a piss. Especially effective for 1/2 walls at urinals. And then, of course, threading it back up while standing there. Hehehehe. edited for teeny, tiny typo I'm a body piercer and I was always told that the story about Prince Albert is a myth. Victorian men often wore something called a "dressing ring", which was a none pierced ring on a chain that held the penis to the trousers. I've also heard that early PA's were none pierced gold rings that held the foreskin together which resembled the double-breasted frock coat that Prince Albert made popular.
