One, define what the hell a natural born citizen is.

Two, in order to run for political office, prospective candidates must pass an trial by ordeal.

The choices are 1) Being tied and thrown in a 20 foot deep vat of holy water, if you float, you are a spawn of Satan, and if you sink and dont drown you are chosen of god.
2) Walk across white hot steel plates, if you do not get burned, you are chosen of god, and therefore can run for office.

This means that socialists, communists, and others will not run for office.

It also means only Christians qualify. Last time I looked, we didn't have a state religion.

No, anyone chosen by their god is qualified, non believers, etc will be rejected by the water or get burned and therefore cannot qualify for the job.

I am trying to work out a trial by ordeal for atheists, but since they dont believe in a god or supreme being, it is rather difficult. Perhaps a test in ethics written in Sanskrit.

No, if they are pure of heart and soul, they will be unharmed. Worked for the dark and middle ages, and they were happy with it, so why not try it again?

I'd vote for #2, trial by ordeal isn't respecting an establishment of any particular religion.

I would also go with #2, but only because you didn't stipulate that it had to be done in bare feet.
