Looking for our first ball gag. Was hoping someone can recommend to me to a model for purchase. Desired features: * Comfort comfort comfort. She likes me in charge, but she does not like pain and discomfort. (No S&M.) * Silicone ball that doesn't smell or taste bad. * Vegan strap. Also, how do I measure for what size ball to purchase? Thanks!

Do you require the look of a ball gag? There are other options to try which are more comfortable. My submissive uses a certain type of foam ball and then tapes over her mouth. I can ask what the brand is if you want.

Inghammer: Yeah, got my mind set on a ball gag. I know it can be uncomfortable, and that's why I'm looking for the most comfortable ball gag possible. GotSteel: Rubber or PVC would work. Any concerns about comfort of rubber vs. leather? We try to avoid leather because we don't like where it comes from. I like the model you linked to. I was also looking at this one. Any thoughts on which looks more comfortable? I'm thinking that strap connection / rivets in my link is more likely to dig into the cheek than the one you found.

Mine is a 1.5" ball, which I think is pretty standard. We started off slow, 10-15 minutes or so at first, and worked up to me being able to get through all of "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" while wearing it. (The only way I'd agree to sit through that was bound and gagged, lol.) The straps on the side are a little uncomfortable, but I got used to it. My jaw pops a bit at first after a long time gagged, but soon normalizes. If you find good sources of non-animal gear, I encourage you to post them here or start a new thread with this info. (I'm not a vegan but I respect y'all.)

Is the thinness of the straps around the edges of the above ball that makes this one comfy? Anyone know of a US supplier for it?

As the ballgag applyer not the ball gag wearer I'm not the best one to answer that. I can tell you that hard edges are bad, we have a ring gag with a thick PVC strap that's pretty harsh, thick stiff leather is also going to be subideal. There was a topic around here somewhere about just this.......hmmm.....

Thanks everyone for your advice! I tried searching before I posted this thread but didn't find anything. But since you stated that there were threads on this already, I got smart and searched via Google with key words: ball gag site:collarchat.com. That found a few threads, and sure enough the model several cited above popped up on a few of them. Hopefully it works out well. It will be our first excursion into something beyond the basic cuffs, ties, and blindfolds. [:)]

funny story about ball gags... i had an ex who used those small pingpong sized wiffle balls with zip ties strung through it and tightened. well one time i was ducktaped/ziptied/cabled to a sawhorse and he got called to close up at work(its 2 minutes away from the hotel we were staying at) well i have a strong flight desire.... dont like being tied down at all especially for what was going to happen... so i bolt. manage to tear my arms and legs out of the duck tape, then use the force to break the thicker zip ties holding my waist, thighs and neck. use the bottle of lube close by to help me wiggle out of the metal ones i cant break and through on a pair of pants over the stripper attire im wearing,, grab shoes and my jacket and bolt out the door. first instinct is always to stay away from streets and find a quiet place to think. once that is done step 2 is to check the lining of my jacket(i always have loose change in there) step 3 get a cigarette, it helps transfer from an instinctual state of mind to a focused one if you do it in steps that make you stop and breath... after all that i made my way to dennys with enough change to get a coffee and the free constant refills, i even got offered a new place to live and a guy bought me food(didnt talk to me the waitress brought it over after he left and said it was paid for)... and after all of that i go to the bathroom wash up and as i look in the mirror i realize i still have the ball gag around my neck.... only driven home by the blood stained drool lines from the corners of my mouth. no wonder someone bought me dinner hehe
