Memorable quotes for Casino, 1995

http://imdb.com/title/tt0112641/

Ace Rothstein: No matter how big a guy might be, Nicky would take him on. You beat Nicky with fists, he comes back with a bat. You beat him with a knife, he comes back with a gun. And you beat him with a gun, you better kill him, because he'll keep comin' back and back until one of you is dead.

Yojimbo directed by Akiro Kurosawa.
The scene:  wounded and battered samuri, played by Toshiro Mifuni, surrounded by a group of about a dozen armed thugs.
Group of thugs:  "What you gonna do kill us?"
Toshiro Mifuni:  "If I do it is going to hurt".

Memorable quotes for Aliens, (1986)

http://imdb.com/title/tt0090605/quotes

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Ripley: You know Burke, I don't know which species is worse. You don't see them fucking each other over for a goddamn percentage!

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Apone: All right, sweethearts, what are you waiting for? Breakfast in bed? Another glorious day in the corps! A day in the Marine Corps is like a day on the farm. Every meal's a banquet! Every paycheck a fortune! Every formation a parade! I LOVE the corps!

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Apone: All right, sweethearts, we're a team and there's nothing to worry about. We came here, we're gonna conquer, and we're gonna kick some, is that understood? That is what we're gonna do, sweethearts, we are going to go and get some. All right, people, on the ready line! Are ya mean?
Marines: Yea!
Apone: Are ya mean?
Marines: Yea!
Apone: WHAT ARE YOU?
Marines: We're mean Marines!
Apone: WHAT ARE YOU? HUDSON! Get on the ready line, Marines, it's time to die! Get on the ready line! Move it out, move it out, goddamnit! Get hot! One, two, three, get out! Move it out, move it out, move it out! Aaarrrrr, absolutely BAD-assess! Let's pack 'em in!

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Burke: Look, this is an emotional moment for all of us, okay? I know that. But let's not... Let's not make snap judgments, please. This is clearly an important species we're dealing with and I don't think that you or I, or anybody, has the right to arbitrarily exterminate them!
Ripley: Wrong!
Vasquez: Yeah. Watch us.

I really like the dark humor in the Alien movies, such as the
quotes below from Alien 3.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0103644/quotes

Ripley: This is a maximum security prison, and you have no weapons of any kind?
Andrews: We have some carving knives in the abattoir, a few more in the mess hall. Some fire axes scattered about the place - nothing terribly formidable.
Ripley: That's all?
Andrews: We're on the honor system.
Ripley: Then we're fucked.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
[the prisoners hesitate to go against the alien and ask why they can't wait for the company to bring them some guns]
Ripley: Because they won't kill it. They might kill you just for having seen it but they're not gonna kill it. When they first heard about this thing, it was "crew expendable". The next time they sent in the marines - they were expendable too. What makes you think they're gonna care about a bunch of lifers who found God at the ass-end of space? You really think they're gonna let you interfere with their plans for this thing? They think we're crud. And they don't give a fuck about one friend of yours that's died. Not one.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Dillon: You're all gonna die. The only question is how you check out. Do you want it on your feet? Or on your fuckin' knees... begging? I ain't much for begging! Nobody ever gave me nothing! So I say *fuck* that thing! Let's fight it!

Doc Holiday to Johnny Ringo: "In pace requiescat."

No strutting, no bellowing, just calm confidence. Gotta love that.

And then, when they finally met to finish it........"It would appear that the strain was more than he could bear."

Damn!  I was just thinking of resurrecting this thread myself, when it came to mind out of nowhere, not a couple of days ago!  I love this thread!

I never realized, till it came about, how much a high femme such as I, loves this kind of exchange.  Only, I find most of the time, you have to know the whole scene in context, for the quotes to have their coolness.
