hiya :) I've been into bdsm for a long while now. I don't really have a lot of experience in it, never done anything for real with anyone, or anything like that. But I've been really fascinated with it since I was a younger teen, and now I'm kind of wanting to get out and see what its really like, meet some cool people, that sort of thing. Seemed safer to try it online, so, here I am. :)

Welcome to the discussion forums. Actually, the best and safest way to get experience is to get out into your local kink community and meet people. Go to a demonstration or a munch. A munch is where kinky people get together in a vanilla setting, like a restaurant, and just chat. Make friends first and establish trust. You'll find someone to play with much faster that way. Also, there are TNG groups (stands for "The Next Generation") specifically geared towards kinksters who are 18-35 years old so keep your eye open for one in your area. You'll have an opportunity to meet people close to your age.

thank you both for the welcome :) @Sylvere: thank you for the advice. unfortunately I'm in a really small town, surrounded by really small towns, and there's nothing like that around here. I'm hoping when I head out to california this year I'll find something. I'll keep an eye out for TNG groups and munches when I go. thanks again :) (Also, I get the feeling the name TNG may be a bit misleading for some folks...)

I don't know much about the local scene in your area. Maybe some of the other folks from IN can help out with that. Where you go in Cali will determine how good the kink scene is. Obviously, the San Francisco and Los Angeles areas are going to be fantastic but other areas have good kink communities too. Best of luck. [:)]

I'm going straight to San Francisco when I go, so that's perfect haha. There are apparently a few munches here in Indiana (I didn't know those existed, thanks :P) so I'll check those out too. thanks for all the help :)

thank you :) I'm finally starting to get the feel of this website. It's a much larger community than I thought at first. I was afraid when I came here it would just be mostly dead comment threads and a few stragglers from the glorious olden days of the website. But it's way more alive than I expected, and that's cool.
