With my shoulders giving out right and left, I can no longer tolerate the pressure from straps on my underwires. I'm really active and need lots of support so going without is not an option. Do you have a favorite very supportive sport bra?

Waiting on ideas as well. I have the same problem.

Definitely need one myself. Perhaps a minimizer?

I started a thread about this a little while back, and got some GREAT brands and advice. I'm gonna hunt it down.

Hello fellow workout ladies. :)

I have a fantastic solution that I came across after much searching. The brand is "Moving Comfort", and my favorite style is "Juno". They do have others for D and DD, but that is my favorite, after trying 3 different styles within the brand.

It is high compression, has adjustable straps and a racer back so the straps do not slide off during high impact exercise. I'm a DD myself, so I know how bad it is not to have the right sports bra. This one, I believe, will really help you. The are not cheap, I think around $55 each, but they wear forever (I do not dry mine). I have had mine for 3-4 years and they have never shown signs of wear. I have several, because I work out so often. You can get them on their website (safest bet), but once in a while you can find them in a sporting goods store in your size (but not as likely to get your size/color/style in a store). Some stores will order them for you, but most of the time you will pay full price--but again, worth every penny.

Good luck! :)

Cool, Blonder! Thanks!

PS: Why are both of us home on Saturday night posting about bras? [sm=waves.gif]

Why didn't you say you were looking for the "motor boat" thread?

Hahaha. Thanks!!!

Thanks for finding the thread. Very entertaining! Couldn't determine much about favorite sport bras though, so I guess it's off to the stores to try stuff on. Uggghhhhh!!! [&:] Gawd, I hate shopping for clothes (especially bras). [>:]

There wasn't a picture of one in there? I could have sworn there was.

I actually got a GREAT one online through Athetica.

I'll check out Moving Comfort. Thanks for the recommendation, and welcome to the boards, purrrrkitten. Glad to have you join us!

Stealing my post from the other thread:

These aren't sports bras per se, but are racer backs. The top one is wireless. For a while, I cut the wires out of all my bras and did so with the bottom one:

Leading Lady Bra Lace Full-Figure Wireless Racerback

Leading Lady Bra Full-Figure Front-Closure Racerback

For non-racer-back bras, I've had surprisingly good luck at WalMart. Curvation is surprisingly comfy for a bra with underwires. I also have a Fruit-of-the-Loom, which is not terribly comfy, but is cut low enough to fit under the shirt for which I need it.

I saw the pic of Leading Lady Bra Full-Figure Front-Closure Racerback. Doesn't look overbuilt enough for what I'll need, though.

I'll check Athetica (Athletica?).

PS: Thanks kalikshama for the reprint.

Hmmm, this looks promising. Expensive, but worth it to me if it fits right and lasts:

That's my bra! Is awesome. The material is really sturdy.

I like this one...

My preference is the shock absorber run, but I'm considerably bigger so you might not need something so um... industrial.
