I was answering Bama's thread about general annoyances, and when I realized my post was becoming longer than my profile (lol)
I thought that I would create a thread for positive thoughts.
So, anything that puts a smile on your face.. List it here.

My great nephew Damian when he tries to be sneaky or tries to hide behind a door he is holding with his hand, or trying to hide under the blankets.

Now for the last one, a little back ground.

Damian will be two on 6 February this year, and we have been working on potty training. When he goes to bed at night, he gets a diaper, first thing in the morning, he gets big boy underwear.

Now, when you ask him in the morning if he needs his butt changed, his answer is "No!"

However during the day, he is very good at telling someone he needs to go potty.

Of course there is the little fact that he can tell Kera to lay down and she listens to him.

My dog and I just had the most ridiculous morning cuddle sesh. If that's not a great way to start the day, then I don't know what is.

My children's laughs.

When I'm snuggled all warm inside, no place I need to go, and everything is completely covered in snow.

When my chores are done and I have time to do other things I want to get to but weren't on high priority.

That moment when you wake up, it's cold but the bed is all warm and cuddly. That's why I'm a repeat snoozer - so I can relive that moment a few times.

Dreams.

When I see someone else helping a stranger.

If I've done something that I consider small but seems to make a big impact on someone else.

When the dog runs into something. Not because he ran into it, but because he's so happy and silly that he doesn't pay attention at all. Although, that time he ran right through a snow mound was pretty funny just because he totally white-washed and surprised himself.

When I hear a cardinal.

Seeing the buds begin to grow on trees.

Thunderstorms.

My list could go on much longer than the negative one!

Frequently, I'll ask people the ten questions that James Lipton uses at the end of his show; "Inside The Actors' Studio".

The questions were originally written by Marcel Proust.

Some of them take on a positive - negative kind of flow.

Anyway, one of the questions is: "What sound or noise do you love?". For many years, now (probably 20 of them), my answer has been: "A baby, laughing". While children, laughing is okay. Even they can "use" laughter as a way to get what they want. When you get a baby to laugh, one that's just starting to "learn" that method of communication, there is no sweeter sound to my ear.

Those are some great ones.

I love a gooood cup of coffee.
The fireplace
The spring
Any kind of flowers
Oh Christmas, just everything about it
A bubble bath
Someone ELSE doing my hair
A massage
The smell of the beach
Going to sleep on a cruise ship (it rocks you like a baby)
A good movie with a happy ending
How I feel after a workout
His kisses for no reason at all
Finding coupons in the grocery store
Doing any kind of good for animals (I like them
better than people)
Sleep( omg I love sleep)
Food
My dogs and cat
Facebook
Taking pics
The soft part of a horses nose when he is nuzzling

Oh I really could go on for days about things I like.

My new shoes. They may look like boring, grandma shoes to most people, but they meant that I got home this evening after a long day at work and my feet aren't in agony.

The new television given to me by my niece to replace my 15 year old gogglebox which gave everyone on tv a strange orange tone to their skin.

My little old bichon frise who climbed onto my lap when I got home and cried with joy as I gave her a big hug and a snuggle.

Definitely the little happy dances my dogs do around my feet when I get home from work.
Coffee in the morning.
Crazy sunrises at the park where my dogs and I walk before work.
Amazon packages on my front porch when I get home.
Trees everywhere.
Great thread!

I love going somewhere with my sweetie and he wants to buy me something expensive - and I love it when he goes to Walgreens and buys me chocolate - Cadburys - just because he loves me and knows I love chocolate - but only Cadburys.

I love it when I get home and the hounds of hell are baying at the door - because I'm home!

I love the smile that my sweetie has when he sees me.

I love it when its colder than stink outside and very cool in my bedroom, and I'm toasty warm under my wool blanket that my dad gave me for my 21st birthday because he knew I was going overseas and he wanted me to always be warm. (and this from a very outwardly unemotional kiwi male) ....I love that blanket!

I really like facebook when my brothers and sisters give me beans over what I post. Its almost as if we are in the same country.

I get a lot of pleasure out of going to estate sales and finding something fabulous - this past weekend I found a cloak/cape, full length, black velvet and lined, with a fox fur (I think) collar, a frog closure and armhole slits. It cost me all of $30, and looks to have never been worn. I love it when my sweetie not only doesn't give me that "do you really need it" look, but suggests that I look at it because it looks like something I would enjoy.

Just in general, I love my life!

A phone call from my daughter, just to say she loves me.
Getting home early from work, and having the rest of the day to myself!
The smell of homemade bread baking in the oven

Getting text msgs or calls from MM every day he's not home.
Going to pick him up on Fridays for the weekend and getting a big bear hug.
Getting into bed with him, even if only for 2 nights and having him snuggle me in his arms.
Listening to a baby laugh.
Watching silly movies that make me giggle.
Reading a great book.
Dark Chocolate with sea salted caramel.
Receiving flowers just because.
Listening to my favorite music.
Driving to gawd knows where, getting lost, not caring.
Making MM laugh at my antics, which are many and varied.
Looking at old family pictures....

The smell of fresh cut grass.

A full wallet.

An empty mailbox.

Going for an inspection and not paying more than the sticker costs.

Campfires.

The smell of burnt gunpowder.

Kittens (got a problem with it?)

More in my tip jar than my hourly wage for the night.

Bullseyes.

Cuddling up with the GF when she's not on one of her tears.

Seeing bubblegums in the rear view and having them pass me by when I pull over.

Shooting stars (don't care if it's space junk, still pretty).

The smell of new leather.

Watching sailboats on the lake.

Seeing old warbirds flying overhead.

Coming here and watching a n00b troll get disassembled by the ladies (truly a thing of beauty to behold).

Not getting a gold letter.

Getting the latest issue of The Backwoodsman before it's sold out.

Cheeseburger, fries, and a coke. Fuck what the doc says.

Talking to my sister.

Beer and J.D.

Seeing the Bills or the Sabres win.

Seeing the Patriots or Dolphins lose.

Women wearing black leather boots (hey, I don't gotta explain here).

Women wearing just black leather boots. Giggity.

Women wearing dog collars.

Women wearing just dog collars (Re: Giggity).

Getting a parking spot right up front, just like in the TV shows.

Anything by Cake.

Sarcasm.

Off-color jokes.

A new pair of jump boots, just the right size.

An empty laundry basket.

Finding .22LR ammo.

Chocolate anything.

Halloween.

People who play B sides on the jukebox (I swear, I've heard Stairway to Heaven more than Zeppelin has. And Freebird, too).

When my till comes out even at the end of the night.

That's all I can think of for now. Much better to think about this than what annoys me. Thanks, K.

being so in lust that I want everything of him right NOW!

being tangled up in each other afterwards, so that I'm not quite sure where I end and he starts.

spooning with him at the back of me so I'm wrapped up in him arms. I can actually sleep like that, and real sleep is such a rare thing for me.

a holiday to Poole I had a few years ago. everything about it was just lovely.

'did I ever tell you about the time I was struck by lightening? seven times!'

my son trying to say hippopotamus for the first time. it came out hippy-potty-puss. I laughed so hard I couldn't breath, and the thought still makes me smile now.

a black leather rose. it came as a total shock one day in the post, and it's beautiful.

I have a million memories around all the animals that I've owned over the years to make me smile. hearing a mare talk to her foal for the first time after you've just helped her deliver it is pretty special.

the smell of a horses muzzle in the summer when they are on grass. that's a special smell that I love.

the first smell of spring on the air.

walking barefoot at 3am outside, and the path is still warm, the sky is crystal clear, and I can watch the stars.

needles
