I want to make an art book journal and on it would be a theme or a collage, or i'd make a writing prompt, so for example The dance by Vince gill, write how it touches me an i relate to the song I want to make myself a necklace or something that said I could have missed the pain but i would have missed the dance. it's very symbolic of how i feel about painful things that were worth it. Sure, i could not done it i coulda not had my heart broke, but it was worth it because the" dance "was beautiful an well worth the pain. the pages don't even have to have words on them. It could just be a sticker or a picture, or an image, or a birds feather, or anything that caught my fancy. I'm kicking myself pretty hard cuz we had 40 birds an they provided eggs and feathers and media worthy of the book every day an i never even thought to collect their feathers and save them, and what a waste, i could have made a fortune off the birds. we already had them, their stuff was free why not use it. that's the greenest crating practice i can think of. turning something you had that cost nothing an you had anyway into something.
Guinnie feathers are particularly beautiful and amazing.
I started something like this before, got scrap book paper cut it to size and glued it in to a pre bound artist sketch book, then put stickers on the books cover an back , but the glue was shit an wouldn't stick and eventually came off the paper, and the paper didn't cut right, so it was uneven and stuff. if i do this again though im gonna think it out and do it with precious and precisely and research how to get a better glue. cuz it was a gluestick meant for paper, but it was crap. Maybe look into how to seal the pages once done. or take clear contact paper and seal the front cover, or maybe even a craft epoxy meant for that or some how imbed something into the cover.\
My biggest thought is how to take loose leaf, maybe photo album size huge pages and make it one huge bound cohesive book, or several little ones an make it not weigh a ton lol. i could even hand sew a cover and hand bind it some how.
fun stuff, fun stuff, sometimes the nitty gritty of the project is the most fun part. i love getting my teeth in there an chewing on it an figuring it out an the trial and error. sometimes you get some fabulous results from "errors" better thn if it had worked right.
Then, i'd love to post about it an teach others how to do it an share my experience.
whatcha think do you all have ideas like this running through your head at 5 am making or dying to create an be creative?
i have a mini fridge by the bed an realized a few days ago holy crap it's a giant white board! n when ideas are waking me up an percalating i scribble it onto my mini fridge.
I have a scavenged shelf storage combo thing i am gonna re make an paint with white board paint an poof there you go you got a communication center and night stand all in one. it was the perfect size and height and width to put the mini dfridge daddy has had for years on.
upcycling an multi tasking and a command center all at once, BOOYA!
