I read the article several days before you posted about it and you know what my first thought was? it was about how Cyprus stole peoples money to get bailed out.. to me, this HSBC thing a warning to anyone or any business with a bank account.. make sure you have bank accounts at several branches and stay under the govt insurance limits in each one.. and having a few thousand in emergency cash in a small, well hidden, fireproof vault at home isn't a bad idea either..
btw, apparently JP Morgan Chase tried pulling some shite (on business accounts) last year too..
