Go to a bookshelf and try to find a book that has a title that ends in a single point.

I am curious how many titles you had to examine before you found one that ends with a point.

The same is true for all titles, including thread titles.

Status: offline 		Of course not. A title is not a full sentence. They rarely have punctuation except a necessary apostrophe or question mark. Why would you imagine they ought to.

Status: offline 		An ellipsis isn't a full stop, and in those cases (which I confess I can't be arsed to check if they actually do end in an ellipsis) the dots are just there so the author can flaunt the fact that their title is an incomplete chunk of a quotation.
(Faulkner, who used shitloads of fragments of quotations couldn't be bothered mucking about with ellipses, iirc.)
