Location issue on CM - 1/30/2014 1:19:29 PM

I recently moved and changed my location in my account and profile (everywhere) and it shows me being in the correct location but when it calculates distance between myself and another individual it uses my old location (basically I moved 30 miles, it still shows people living in this city as 30 miles away). How do I correct that?

I had the same problem at first when I moved from GA to CA. (The move before last.)

What you have to do is change your zip code in your account information. That will put everything right.

Did you remember to go under My Account and update your zip code? If you did, then that person is using a different zip code than the one in which they actually live.

I did and it is showing the correct zipcode, and it's not just one person, it's every profile, I just used that one as an example.

As a side note, Syl, do you have any idea of how many folks who *don't* want to use their real zip code go in and put in 99999? They have no clue that will put their location in Alaska. Dipwhits.

I was not aware of that. I wonder how many people use 12345 or 90210 and show up in Schenectady, NY or Beverly Hills.

You may want to contact support on the other side. I don't know if this is one of those things that takes a couple of days to go through.
