It finally rained today! Thank you to our indigenous residents for doing the rain dance on the news last night!

What's happening weatherwise in your bailiwick?

Jon Stewart, who is from New Jersey, had lots to say about "Atlanta shuts down following a massive two-inch blizzard"

I'm about 2 hours southeast of Atlanta. We closed schools on Tuesday ahead of the storm. But ... watching that, I've not laughed so hard in a while.

And tomorrow it's suppose to be damn near 70 and rain. What a difference a few days make.

Kali I was going to share it on friday but I laughed so hard I had to go to the bathroom and then forgot what I was doing:)

Glad y'all got some rain finally MDA.

Here in NNJ, the forecast is for more snow.

littlewonder -> RE: OMG, What Is That Wet Stuff??! (2/2/2014 8:11:47 PM)

Today here in MD finally hit the 50 degree mark! But it's supposed to snow tomorrow, about 5 inches. WTF????? [sm=anger.gif][sm=angry.gif][sm=gaah.gif][sm=giveup.gif]

I had to open the windows in my car to let in the cool.

Everybody else was bundled up because Virginians aren't used to 35-ish weather. (2 to 3 degrees for you metric folk)

Bear in mind that I was born FAR more North than VA, so my opinion may be a bit skewed.

DesFIP -> RE: OMG, What Is That Wet Stuff??! (2/2/2014 9:37:38 PM)

Raining today but it's pretty much over as my wood stove has finally gotten an updraft.

We might get a flurry tomorrow, but probably not. The Man's down on Long Island and should leave early in the morning as they're getting 4 - 8 inches of the worst 4 letter word ever, snow.

And yet you continue to complain about the cold....

tiggerspoohbear -> RE: OMG, What Is That Wet Stuff??! (2/3/2014 9:50:56 AM)

We got 6 inches of snow late Sat aft into Sun morn. Temps have gone from 40 below to high 20's. We're expecting another 6 to 8 inches of snow on Wednesday.

At least, so far, there's no talk of freezing balls off brass monkeys or wind chill factors. Snow I can deal with, most of the time it means the temps won't dip into ridiculously cold.

DesFIP -> RE: OMG, What Is That Wet Stuff??! (2/3/2014 9:55:45 AM)

Those no good liars. At midnight they said flurries only. Now we're getting 1 -3. And it's already snowing!

Maybe we need to seed the clouds. Oh wait...there are no clouds. Well I understand DA, we have about 4 years. Where do you think you might go ? I am looking Florida even though it is more expensive. Maybe Tenn. I love those women from Tenn.

susie -> RE: OMG, What Is That Wet Stuff??! (2/3/2014 2:36:32 PM)

You are all welcome to some rain courtesy of the UK. We seem to have non stop rain for weeks and the floods here are really bad. Some villages in Somerset (South West UK) have been cut off since before Christmas. The Military are now helping out the residents down there.

MistressDarkArt -> RE: OMG, What Is That Wet Stuff??! (2/3/2014 2:45:23 PM)

^^^Wow, susie, that's some serious sh*t! Usually the only time that happens in CA is when Big Sur residents get trapped when Hwy 1 washes out. They have to be helicoptered supplies.

MalcolmNathaniel -> RE: OMG, What Is That Wet Stuff??! (2/3/2014 3:01:10 PM)

Oi! I quit complaining about the cold after the temps rose above freezing.

A certain slave should check herself before she gets into trouble. I do have "instruments of instruction" that you haven't experienced.
