OZZFEST !!!  for $20 these chicks would strap you to an X made of I-beams and whip you for a while, with a crowd of people watching.

Kedikat -> RE: Where was the first place you saw bondage (7/7/2006 1:15:55 AM)

I saw it first, as I did it.
At a VERY young age, a girl and I tried a lot of things over a few months.......
I was precocious and Moms trashy novels and the medical dictionary inspired very early explorations. Bondage was not in the novels, but it somehow sprang to our minds. A little kidnapping episode between kids.

Edited to date it......The Sensuous Woman was published in 1969. I read moms copy, cross referenced with the med dictionary ( with illustrations ) I am 49 now. We tried a lot of it, but not all of it.

For Me it was the detective mags of the 70's when I was a kid. Cartoons also had bondage in them. Underdog and Sweet Polly. Speed Racer and Trixie. A little remembered toon called Here Comes The Grump. Scooby Doo and The Wacky Races all had bondage in them.

i think the first time i saw "bondage" was in those old cartoons where snidley blackheart would tie the lady to the train tracks.. but the first time i saw honest to god bonddage was when i tied up an ex girlfriend... it just seemed cool to do

It was Batman for me.....I loved how in almost every show somebody got to be tied up...it was my favorite part.  I also loved how they drew it out over the commercial!!  I was 5 & 6 years old, but it set in.

When the local kids called out, "Let's play Batman & Robin!" and they would go find capes to wear while I searched for rope so someone could tie me up!   I couldn't get anyone to tie me up and "torture" me....all they wanted to do was run around and playfight.  I can remember thinking back then...something along the line of , "Sheesh.  What dweebs!." and leaving the crowd disgusted.

Funny memories.

Funny memories.

I was probably 5 or so at the time, and it definitely was the Batman of the 60's that did it for me, too.  Because of that, I thought that bondage was the 'end' (not the means) for a long time, until I decided to explore the BDSM lifestyle.  I've never looked back.

Vendaval -> RE: Where was the first place you saw bondage (7/10/2006 7:42:32 PM)

The original "King Kong" with Faye Ray when she is bound and presented to the great ape.

The original "Creature From the Black Lagoon" may have had bondage
in it, but it is definately the abduction of the virgin by the monster
motif.

Circa 1981, age 8 or 9:  We had a "Whole Earth Catalog" at school and there was a paragraph about "bondage" and an illustration of a woman with her feet bound to the footboard of the bed.  It was a group of us who saw it and it was quickly put away over giggles and shaming tsk tsk tsks.  I was too shy to go find the book again and read it.  Around the same time, maybe a year later, I read a bunch of old Zap Comix which had all kinds of kinky stuff and just seemed so free and easy about it - there was bondage, torture, incest, role-play, pitates, barbed-tongue clit lickers, Wonder Warthog - man those things were juicy.  Waaaaaaay kinkier than Rocky and Bullwinkle.

shyfem -> RE: Where was the first place you saw bondage (7/10/2006 8:06:23 PM)

The first time I saw bondage and thought it was interesting was in the movie "Clash of the Titans" where the princess was tied to rocks as a sacrifice for the Cracken. I saw that for the first time when I was about 14.

I know I must have seen it in "Batman" and all the other shows at a much younger age, but it did not impress me enough to give it a second thought at the time.

"Clan of the Cave Bear" with Darryl Hannah. She was this blonde chick stuck in this cave, forced into service to another tribe of hunters. She always had to have her eyes cast down, then upon permission, would kneel before the chief, with her cheek on his knee....then, he would rub her hair and forehead. [:D]

sabswife -> RE: Where was the first place you saw bondage (7/11/2006 4:01:49 AM)

gosh i don't know, probably in movies.  bondage has never seemed kinky to me even when i was playing at being 'nilla.  maybe my parents should have moderated what i watched a little better lol

thegunslinger -> RE: Where was the first place you saw bondage (7/12/2006 8:48:23 AM)

DivaZya -> RE: Where was the first place you saw bondage (7/12/2006 9:30:50 AM)

Disney's Peter Pan.
I always liked tying up girls and boys.. when I finally managed to do so at a Dungeon, I tied them naked - male facing female's back for a flogging scene - the kicker was the male was 'very' gay - his head was going "ugh, it's a girl", his penis was going " AH it's an ASS!" - the girl was saying "But he's GAY!!"

damn that's fun!

LadyHugs -> RE: Where was the first place you saw bondage (7/12/2006 11:23:05 AM)

Dear bondagemastertj, Ladies and Gentlemen;

I remember in my youth, long before I could read, paging through many books and looking at pictures.  Art, etchings and even photographs in books and magazines peaked my arousal in a sexual way even before I understood my own body.

Nudes always attracted me, art showing bondage, torture, suffering was very attractive, especially when it came to male nude art.  My eyes focused on those genitals and had many thoughts about them.

Television was something mother restricted, to which it was not the baby-sitter as it has become.  The programs I was keen to watch were; Burke's Law (Gene Berry); Bat Masterson (Gene Berry), The Green Lantern (Bruce Lee), Roy Rodgers, Lone Ranger (Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels), F-Troop (western comedy), Wagon Train, Gene Autry (The singing cowboy with his horse Champion), Cheyenne, Rin Tin Tin, Dragnet (the original), Car 54, Munsters, Addams Family (Original), Sky King, Zorro (Original with Guy Williams), Bonanza (Original), Honey West, Mod Squad, Star Trek (Original Series)

The Books and Magazines; well unfortunately the books of my youth are bound and in the attic but, History of Civilization; The Great Book (stopped at President Grover Cleveland); National Geographic, National Geographic book on Native American Indians; Life's Crime and Punishment; *Die Heilige Inquisition (The Holy Inquisition) -- Wesen, Method und Wirkung (Essence, Methods and Effects) in my 1983-1986 travels overseas.  King Charles V’s the manual of, *ā€œPunishment of Life and Limb,ā€ looked over while overseas as well.
*Reprinted and translated texts.

Art venues; Ghent : The Gravensteen museum-Belgium; Medieval Crime Museum-Rothenburg, Germany; Midieval Dungeons - Nuremberg, Germany, Museum Gevangenpoort-The Hague-Netherlands; Museum of Midieval Criminology - San Gimignano, Italy and Restraints Museum, Linz Germany (which is my favorite)  --And, yes--I am letting a huge cat out of the bag per se, showing the depth of my bondage techniques borrowed from ages past.

One will find as I have said all along.  Those who have come before us have intented all kinds of things to which future generations expanded and refined upon.

Respectfully submitted for consideration,
Lady Hugs

Sub03 -> RE: Where was the first place you saw bondage (7/12/2006 11:35:32 AM)

I didnt equate it with bondage at the time but as a child me and my sister used to play cops and robbers and tie up the bad guy which was usually me, and we used to tie each other to chairs and such to see if we could escape. Didnt really think much of it then but as I got older I used to imagine being held down and controlled by a guy during sex. Then when I finally discovered this lifestyle at 19 it all made alot more sense.
