ORIGINAL: Kirasen I see people wondering why people lie and scam on the internet... they used the right word for it but never quite hit the mark. The internet is a fabricated world. Why should someone be real in a world that is fake? Do you remember puppet shows? The internet is like that, people use avatars as their painted faces. Some choose to try to be 'real' some choose to act to a way that gives them the ability to be free, but some lose I wont go into that. Life is a game, and the internet is like a 'minigame'. Do you see now? Why not lie? why be real.... in this fabricated world? This is a real question I ask you. What is real? What is beautiful? What is sweet? What is the point of existence? --- All of these can be asked to different people all of these will get different answers. Some people will think similarly, some won't. That's why I want this to be discussed, people give different responses because people are different. I want to know what real means to you also.... Real and reality.... Answer me that. I am going to answer this based upon both sides of this site (CollarMe and CollarChat). CollarMe: Ostensibly, people here wish to meet partners with whom they can have physically or emotionally intimate relationships. I can only guess that if people are only interested in the physically intimate type, being "real" might not be all that important. Perhaps living out some (personally) taboo fantasies might be better off if one person believes the "persona" that another person is putting out there. I am not all that sure about this but, I guess it's a consideration. For people that are on this side to find an emotionally intimate relationship; why wouldn't they "be real"? If I am hoping to find a partner; one that opens up to me and allows me to see who they really are, I have to offer the same in return. If I pretend to be someone I am not, I have only myself to blame when she finds out the truth and my truth is not what she was looking for. Do I think there's a bunch of bullshit artists, here? Yes but, that's 85%-95% of the world-at-large, anyway. CollarChat: This is a place where people discuss ideas, give opinions and advice, and mesh in a common interest. Why shouldn't people "be real", here? It's almost impossible to support a position that you really don't believe. What then, is the point in trying to put things out there that you can't possibly explain or defend? Do I think there's a bunch of bullshit artists, here? Yes but, that's 85%-95% of the world-at-large, anyway. Good luck, Michael
