Hell, I would have loved his gift, but I also used to be a woodworker and can appreciate craftsmanship. LP will tell you if We need a new piece of furniture, I almost always go to the real wood and not the laminates if I can.

I am also grateful that She is not a $$ seeker. I would definitely be alone. I will never be a millionaire (sometimes I struggle to just be a hundredaire ), it is not like the Army pays a lot. I don't always see it (own worse critic and shit), but She always tells Me I am a good man <shrugs>. I have My weaknesses (I can hear the collective "NOOOOOO say it ain't so" from everyone ), and I have My strengths. I do the best I can to keep Her happy as She does for Me.

A young man I know is a very skilled artist and craftsman. For valentines day last year, he made created a intricately carved headboard and foot board for a king sized bed as a present for his wife. This was the finishing piece to the work he was doing to renovate a 130 year old house he and his wife bought.

Her response was "I would have preferred a diamond."

Needless to say, they are presently going through a divorce.
