joether -> Tea Party Pres. 2016 (2/11/2014 11:32:36 AM)

I found this one funny to read. It is basically all the Tea Party groups got together to establish 'the field' of candiates for 2016. Or perhaps to find out who is the most conservative of conservatives. Or yet again (and more likely) the best people who will NEVER get elected to the White House. The crowd pleaser is none other than the guy that tried to financially kill the US Government: Sen. Ted Cruz! With a close second by another Senator, Rand Paul (who also has no chance of being President).

At the bottom of the list are the moderates or 'more likely to win in a general election'. Gov. Chris Christie before 'Bridgegate' was seen as the possible Republican nomination and a 'heavy weight' (no pun intended) against the idea of the Democrats fielding former first lady, Hillary R. Clinton. Jed Bush was also seen as 'not conservative enough' by those that desperately need the ACA if only to pay for their therapy and drugs to treat obsessive delusional paranoid schizophrenia.

So its time to load up the clown car of Tea Party candidates for yet....ANOTHER....few years of laughs.

Moonhead -> RE: Tea Party Pres. 2016 (2/11/2014 11:38:28 AM)

Jeb Bush is not conservative enough? I thought the only reason the GOP nominated his idiot brother in 2000 was because they thought Jeb was rather too Conservative for a fair chunk of the electorate.
How things change...
That list has quite a crossover with the list of potential Republican "saviours" that was put on here last year, doesn't it?

Marc2b -> RE: Tea Party Pres. 2016 (2/11/2014 11:39:49 AM)

Well, it is good to know that they'll be good for something because, barring illness, accident, assassination (some of them fuckers are crazy enough to try it) or the discovery of a video showing her gleefully stomping on kittens (which seems unlikely), Hillary Clinton will be our next president.

Moonhead -> RE: Tea Party Pres. 2016 (2/11/2014 11:42:23 AM)

Bear in mind everybody was saying that back in 2008, Marc.

Everybody? Not everybody.

Not that it matters. As things stand now the Democrats could nominate a lobotomized orangutan with its head stuck up its ass and the majority would still prefer it to anyone the Republicans can muster.

Moonhead -> RE: Tea Party Pres. 2016 (2/11/2014 12:04:50 PM)

I hope so, but idiots get the vote as well.
[;)]
(Just saying that one of the main things I remember about the 2008 election cycle was how surprised everybody was that the Kenyan refused to quietly give up on the nomination and just let them put forward Hilary.)

mnottertail -> RE: Tea Party Pres. 2016 (2/11/2014 12:21:08 PM)

well, paul and cruz have sort of ran before and weren't even as marketable as captain underpants, which shows the inefficiency of our private enterprise and freemarkets.  LOLOL.

So, much ado about nothingness in their cases.  Oh, the heads will talk, the nutsackers will vituperate, the Faux Nuze will say; THEY say that.......when they don't.

DomKen -> RE: Tea Party Pres. 2016 (2/11/2014 12:23:20 PM)

Cruz and Paul may run but they won't raise the sort of money to be serious nationally. Even the Koch's aren't crazy enough to try putting either of those guys in the White House.

Right now I'm betting on Huckabee.

Jeb was neither useful enough or idiot enough and he isn't now...if they have their choice.

    The online poll of 62,000 grassroots activists provided exclusively to Secrets finds that conservatives and Tea Party organizers stand fully behind the heroes of their movement, including outspoken surgeon Ben Carson, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and 2008 vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin.

Good Lord that's chilling. She was at a McCain event for his Senate re-election and made the claim that she and John were original members of the Tea Party Movement. Now, he may have been old enough to have taken part in the original Boston Tea Party, but he's not one that aligns with the Tea Party Movement. Her inclusion of him in that is, in fact, proof that she's not really aligned with it, either. The crowd cheered, showing that they were just suckers for a pretty face.

The difference between the left and the right is that the fringe exercises a lot of power on the right. The gov't shutdown, lack of immigration reform, debt ceiling shenanigans, and widespread attempts to limit gay marriage, contraception, and abortion can all be laid at the feet of the far right. These nut jobs are impervious to facts and reason.

You're so silly, Joether. No chance of being President? Considering the last guy to get the job was a first term Senator with no resume, no leadership experience (not even captain of the high school basketball team), no business experience, and an act nobody is going to fall for again, you shouldn't go counting anyone out.

I'm not a fan of Cruz at all, but I think Rand Paul might fit very well on the bottom half of the Christie ticket.

Translation......[sm=river.gif]

The only business experience your village idiot shrub had was bankrupting two businesses....[8|]

Then went on to bankrupt the entire country.....[X(]

And considering rand and Christie fight like cats and dogs......I doubt we`ll see a Christie/paul ticket.......[;)]

rand bitch slaps Christie...

FellowSlave -> RE: Tea Party Pres. 2016 (2/11/2014 10:31:11 PM)

My prediction: Barack Obama (Barry Soetoro) will not leave the office 2016. What will happen in my scenario: they need to collapse the dollar to make way for a global trading currency issued by the World Bank (the US dollar is toast already, held up by illusions and guns only). It needs to be done before Hillary takes over: 1) she can pose as a savior, friend of little people, 2) she is totally incompetent, mostly incompetent Obama Wall Street government is better suited for the job. I think the operation will cause too much public disturbance to allow elections to take place.

Hell I could do a better job in the White House as President than any of those people on that list. I just don't have $100-500 million lying around gathering dust.

They also appear to be the Republican Party's "base" these days, rather than their lunatic fringe. How depressing is that?

(And can we please stop using "left" and "right" as terms interchangeable with "Democrat" and "Republican", please? The last Democrat leader who actually leaned to the left was Carter, and look what you people did to that poor bastard...)

Its like 'Nazi Purity' in many ways with being 'conservative'. That one has to go through super, ultra-strict sets of tests just to prove beyond a shadow of doubt that one is indeed, 100% pure, Grade A, conservative. So anything that is less (even 99% almost pure conservative) is considered on the left. Which is why Gov. Cristsi and former Gov. Bush are normally 'conservative' they are considered, not conservative enough to be conservative. To be truly conservative these days, one has to remove reality, logic, sensibility, decency, and wisdom from their minds and vocabulary.
