Did you miss my comment about "conservative" and "Republican" not being synonyms?

If there's one thing the weird monetarist freaks and pseudo-libertarian arsemonkeys the Repukes (and their allegedly independent tea party wing) have in common, it's that they aren't at all conservative in terms that make any sense outside of a political discussion aimed at people who think that the Kenyan is a Marxist because somebody at News International said so. Reactionary, bigoted fuckwits who believe that there is too such a thing as a free lunch so long as they can stick somebody else with the bill for it, yes. Conservative, not so much.

I'm not a fan of Cruz at all, but I think Rand Paul might fit very well on the bottom half of the Christie ticket.

You mean the guy that went on national television and said he would've fought against Title II of the Civil Rights Act?

If you're right and he gets on the ticket, we're going to be seeing that interview over and over and over again on TV, until everybody thinks that Rand Paul is the fucking Grand Wizard of the KKK.

Anyhow, I think Christie's done. Whatever the truth is about this bridge stuff, or whether or not he tried to withhold FEMA funds for political reasons or whether the federal corruption investigation turns up anything, this is just too much scandal and makes him look (fairly or unfairly) like a corrupt bully.

When has looking like a corrupt bully been a bad thing for an American politician? It never did Huey Long any harm...

Who among all of us would be frankly surprised to find out that Sen. Rand Paul or Ted Cruz....was....a grand wizard for the KKK?

He wasn`t born yet by the time Byrd denounced the klan and embraced the civil rights movement.....

And here we have rand hoping to end the civil rights acts.....TODAY

Now we know of arguments and have heard the rightist awkwardly try to explain why we should repeal the CRA but I for one will look forward to the enlightened discussions we`ll be having with rand`s bigot`s bill of rights....

It`ll be as enlightening as the "discussion about race" we had after Travon Martin`s killing.

Well, I'd be surprised if the KKK accepted an Hispanic guy as a member, let alone making him the top dude.
