ladybigfrills -> Could anyone recommend books on Dominance or know of online training! (2/16/2014 1:41:05 AM)

Hi there, I am new on the site and was wondering if anyone could recommend any books on Dominance or know anyone that offers online training!

Thanks in advance!

This is a very helpful thread about life stlye books. ResidentSadist did a great job compiling it. Best of luck.

My Advice?
Title the thread as a summary of the question. Usually, for a one-sentence question, it's that sentence.
That is, instead of "Advice please", you title the thread "Could anyone recommend books on Dominance or know of online training! "

At least that's my advice.

I have edited the thread title, so while your post will show as edited by me, the title is all that has changed.

Id definitely check out the books on ResidentSadist's list. There are some really good ones on there you can learn a lot from.

Id caution to be careful when it comes to the whole concept of "online training." Because it's the internet, any Dick or Jane can come out of the woodwork...proclaim him or herself an all-powerful über DOMINANT...yet have absolutely zero clue what they are doing. Take Internet sources with a grain of salt and a critical eye.

I'm not sure where you live, but there might be BDSM events or clubs in your area that might be worth taking a look at. Many offer great workshops you can attend and learn some great things at. For example, we here in Portland have KinkFest.

There were a bunch I was going to recommend, but reading over ResidentSadists list, I really can't think of too many others I would add.

Other than the book recommendations, I can't say I'd advise online training. I mean, I could claim to be an awesome dominant trainer but I could be a total plonker in real life. I'd suggest you either read lots of threads here until you get an idea of who is worth listening to, and then ask those people if they mind you asking questions by email, OR (even better) get to know someone in the community and ask for their help. At least that way you will know if they have a good reputation and can see for yourself that they know what they are talking about.

Frankly, I support those who say NO to Online training .... and get out into a local community group ... munch whatever it is ...

That said, as a long time sub-male, i have always had an affection for books written by Elise Sutton about Female Superiority.

She draws mixed reviews ... but i feel .. a well trained psychologist ... is worth listening too.

Good luck in your search!
