These statements were quoted by Republicans running during Obama's first term, not that it matters.

Alright, Obama is not the best president we have ever had, but he is by far not the worst. As it stands, the present Congress is the worst in US history, and least productive, and sorry to say, you cannot blame it all on Obama. You can blame GOP senate and house leaders who pledged to make sure to limit Obama's effectiveness after he won a second term.

We have idiots arguing with idiots.

Add to that, Obama has done nothing by "decree" that has yet been deemed unconstitutional, which means like it or not, he has done nothing illegal.

This basically leaves the GOP with two options, pray that a large asteroid impacts the white house in the next two years, or work with him until the next election.

Uh the odds are better of the entire GOP voter base hitting the lotto than the asteroid hitting the White House while Obama is in residence.

So what is the daily outrage other than nutsackers hysterically devoid of fact and pregnant with imbecilic slogans?

What else can the president do with such a do nothing Congress? He can't do anything he wants. If he could why wouldn't he raise the minimum wage for everyone by executive order instead of only federal contract workers? Why wouldn't he get rid of the employer mandate? Why wouldn't he change the ACA to base eligibility for subsidies on income alone instead of access to employer provided health insurance that only subsidizes the worker and not the family?

Obama is going to raise Federal contract workers to $10.10 an hour? What a crock of shit! What Federal contract job pays less than 10.10 an hour? Look up the pay scales for federal contract workers. You'll feel bad about how much more they make than you!

mnottertail -> RE: It seems like a new outrage daily (2/18/2014 2:44:57 PM)

Then its innocuous, since nothing will happen.  Yeah, let's do it then.

Sorry but the founders never intended the populace to threaten their lives or their family`s lives.....that`s one thing....

They did however enforce the law.....Cuz ya see......the just finished making the laws.....that`s quite another....

Those two things..... are not alike or the same.....accept in the mind of the lunatic fringe.....

See if you can pick out which one is domestic terrorism....?

Well.... I cannot cite chapter and verse, but I'm pretty sure he's been overturned by SCOTUS on more than one occasion... but let that ride for the moment.

What will you say if/when SCOTUS overturns some of his recess appointments on up to three separate grounds?

If one could call it a watch....more like a bleeding out

And Obamacare IS the law and voted into law democratically.......

Seems like conservatives love America conditionally and depending on what day it is.....

That you put Stormfront right at the top of your list says a lot more about you, Lucy, than all the people you have never met, but have so much fun expressing your hatred, bigotry, and intolerance for. Pretty much anybody who doesn't cheer for your team, so about 1/2 the people in my country.

Now perhaps you missed it today, because it didn't stay on Google News very long at all, but former US Congressman Mel Reynolds (D-Illinois) was arrested over in Africa for making and possessing pornography in his hotel room. No word on how old these girls were.

Now Africa has some fucked up laws, but given that he is a "former" Congressman because, while in office, he was convicted on multiple counts of statuatory rape, plus solicitation and possession of child pornography, there may be something there. He was already in prison, when they tried and convicted him on the corruption charges from his time in office. Bill Clinton let him out of jail, because we all know that it's the Democrats who are interested in protecting women...

YAY TEAM!!!

Owner59 -> RE: It seems like a new outrage daily (2/18/2014 7:55:51 PM)

Fun fact....

The emancipation proclamation was an executive order bypassing congress.....

Any questions as to legitimacy?

And I know just how to get you to totally ignore somebody who likes to rape teenagers - just tell you there is a D by his name, so no, it's thank you.

Wanna channel Hillary Clinton for us, and attack the victims?

TheHeretic -> RE: It seems like a new outrage daily (2/18/2014 9:57:39 PM)

The point of this little illustration, of course is that different media outlets carry stories of interest, and more importantly don't carry stories that might conflict with the market's ideology, depending on the market they try to serve.

What was interesting from Lucy's early reply on the thread is how she will readily post links to sites such as I mentioned that cater to liberal viewpoints exclusively, but then proceeds to throw extremist hate sites right in with completely middle of the road conservative sources. Should accusations of frequenting the Godshatesfa** site be automatic, if someone reads Democrat Underground? (well there is one for sure...)

Did Mel Reynold's arrest make it onto the MSNBC feed? Will HuffnPoo have a sidebar, recounting the details of the statuatory rape and solicitation of child pornography convictions that brought on his resignation from the House?

Demonizing the very idea that people who disagree might have the right to share their views is the mark of a totalitarian, or at least the useful idiot for them.
