Hi there! My name is Laura.
Beautiful weather today here in Indy!

I have been really wanting to attend a Munch here in Indiana to meet people into the lifestyle, make friends,
but am leary because a friend of mine has attended two and said that the people weren't very friendly and didn't seem that open to newbies.
Of course that makes me apprehensive but I figure there has to be a good explanation for it. Maybe you need to know someone first and be invited rather than just showing up. Anyway, I'm looking for some advice.

There are many groups in Indy, I've been to several and had no problem finding friendly people to talk to.

I quick search on FetLife (the best site for finding groups in your area) gave me 77 pages of groups (not all munches) in Indy.

Real time meetings are your best chance for finding a unicorn, so please give it a chance.

First, check out Fetlife and find some groups you may be interested in, then email the host and find out when they meet and such. Explain you're new and would love to hook up with some people before the munch (or meeting). Most larger groups have designated 'greeters.'
