...they get awkward when they go on too long. With that in mind I'll try to keep mine short and sweet.

Hi, I'm Ovid. I'm a young(ish) professional in Dallas currently working as a consultant and finishing up my Masters in Finance. I'm becoming fairly active in my local scene (which is fortunately quite welcoming and active) but I thought I would also give internet kink dating a try. I identify as a submissive, but I am not looking for humilation, sissification, or any kind of toilet play and I manage my own finances quite well thank you. I'm really hoping to meet someone I can create a real relationship with, basically someone I can take to business and social events and also submit to in the bedroom. I'd also like to make some more friends in the lifestyle.

I've not done much internet dating before, let alone on a site like this, so if you don't mind helping a newbie out I'd love a critique of my profile.

Thanks for reading,
Ovid

Great intro and your profile's not bad. I suggest you use a real picture and anonymize it, which could be as simple as putting a blue rectangle over your eyes, as one poster here does, or wearing opaque sunglasses, as does another.

Best of luck in your search.

Thank you for the advice, I've added an anonymised headshot. Any further tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

Just checked out your profile. I also think a real pic would be more effective. I always like the distant pic, in an outdoor setting. Far enough away for some anonymity.
Also.
Welcome! You are off to a great start!~wink~. I was quite impressed with your earlier posts on another thread. I motion to keep him, please????? All in favor???

Weird. I did upload a facepic. When I look at my profile I see my old pic and when I go to update profile it shows my new pic. Am I doing something wrong or does it just take time for the profile to update?

And thank you for the warm welcome everyone.

Edited: Well I added the pic as a secondary and now it's showing up on the profile at least.
