I really should go to bed, but just can't sleep.
I've been having a nightmare lately that shouldn't rationally bother me but it does.
I don't want to talk about sleeping, so, what's on your mind people?

On my mind now is the warmer weather we have been having here for a change, its great. Been getting out with the dog walking, he is an American Foxhound and has plenty of energy to burn. We will get some metal detecting in also today and Friday.

I've been wondering how I could give up sugar for Lent (March 5th) when my niece's wedding is March 8th!

Re: pink Floyd....I like listening to it, but don't think I'd want to watch it to anything except the wizard of oz.

Hlen, don't give up sugar then, give up your time volunteering, or reading more to children.
Sometimes the sacrifice can be "for" something, and not " taking away from yourself"

Thank you for the great suggestion!! I finally broke my soda addiction last year for Lent, so was hoping to do the same for the sugar monkey on my back. I really like your suggestions though!

As far as your nightmare, have you tried to change the outcome of it? I've heard that's possible.

How did Mr. Coleman rescue him? Did he find him along the road?

Hlen, I recently went through something tragic and traumatic.
It's just returning in the form of a nightmare.
Changing the outcome ummmm...it won't work, because it actually happened.
This is a "replay" of sorts...
Sadly.

Don't know if this will help to entertain you or not.

All three cats went to the vet yesterday to get their booster shots for when we move out of here. Cats have to be up to date so that we can drive through Canada. (Yes, we're driving due to two vehicles and three animals.)

Nermal is a little grey cat who, thanks to being a runt, looks pretty much like a six month old kitten. (Think very much like the Nermal of the Garfield comic strip, including the cuteness.) Nermal seems to believe that the whole five mile trip to the vet, the shots, and the excruciating five mile ride home in a cat carrier was a traumatic enough of an experience to spend the last day and a half running around the house crying "mew, mew, mew" in her baby cat voice. She does this in front of every door expecting somebody to come and pity her. While she's afraid of most people, she took to tk almost as soon as he started spending time here, so she might be looking for him since Mom and Dad aren't coddling her the way she thinks she deserves.

That's the best I've got. Boring, but that's what's happening here right now. Me talking to tk via computer and a little grey cat running around going "mew, mew, mew" every five minutes.

Mr. Coleman lived out in the country, he saw a van drop the dog off at the end of his driveway and leave, the dog chased the van for 1 mile and half. Mr. Coleman followed in his car and picked the dog up. The dog was to much for elderly Mr. Coleman he went to the local dog rescue and gave the dog to them and donated 100 dollars. We were looking for a Beagle and they did not have any and suggested the Foxhound because he looks like a tall Beagle. So we adapted him.

Oh, I miss Cavendish....
That kitten stole my heart.

Lady pact, thank you.
Have you tried catnip bubbles? It usually takes their mind off of everything else.
I saw them recently in the shop, and CX told me that His cat loved them!

Poor little Nermal. Poorer Hlen after my dog's visit to the vet yesterday. What started out as a 6 month heart worm shot and consult about his upcoming tooth-cleaning procedure morphed into a $138.00 visit (Wellness visit, shot, 15 lbs dog food for my 14 lb dog). They DID trim his nails, gratis.

Did you know they do dental x-rays for dogs these days??

How very kind of Mr Coleman Sr!! It breaks my heart to think of a dog chasing his "owners (dicks!!)" for 1.5 miles. How lucky for Mr. Coleman Jr he's in a good place!!

I hadn't thought of additional cat nip. That's usually the last cat of the house that you want to put 'fun time' things in. She gets some out of the scratch box things that we buy her to sharpen her claws. She's the only one with front claws in the house and she already has her times that she bullies the other cats. She's also the cat that is the one who is responsible for waking her humans up in the middle of the night, so if anybody is going to get sleep in this house tonight, cat nip might not be the way to go.

There are several night time games. There is 'let kitty in the bedroom/let kitty out of the bedroom', which includes paw pads (not claws) rubbed against whichever side of the door she happens to be on. Another is 'let's play inside the drawers in the bedside tables'. Since she's a very small cat, she just crawls in them from the back. By far, My favorite is 'Mommy is sleeping, so let's play with Mommy's face'. This game works on Daddy, too.

And people wonder why I don't sleep well. LOL.

I dunno if this is getting too close to the morning to be of any use:)
But gmorning, Im up , well cos I ve had pneumonia and my sleep pattern has turned on its head, So Ive been catching up on some work, but I decided to make a tumblr page for my pet.
It will have pictures, thoughts, poems, fun pics, gifs, that I have or find during the day to share with him.
I did one a few weeks ago just for animated gifs I liked so I could share
I get creative in the middle of the night and hunt down pictures I can use with a license n make up all kinds of webpages I dream up
99% of them dont ever get made,
Im also learning to make lingerie and hunting down resources n things, it passes hours for me.
Of course this place is an addiction thats available every day:)
anyway, good morning ....
hope you get over the nightmare, thats not a pleasant place to be.
