Yet once more the admins have abducted yet another poor collarme patron to use in their insidious plan to create human/alien hybrids.

I have been wondering why it is only the new users with the apparent problem of terminal stupidity. I have concluded they will either be slaves, or cannon fodder.

We each have our own particular psychology.

LadyP, you are condoning abduction of humans for alien experimentation? I mean granted, the people who they abduct are, shall we say, less than socially acceptable, but they are human.

Jeff, I envy your land. where I live I stand no chance of getting any unless I win the lottery, or some Millionaire takes pity on me :-(

Depends on what you want the land for. I bought it because of an old cold war Air Force installation on the property. Geographically, it is the northern edge of the hill country, so with the exception of about 40 acres, it is impossible to cultivate. It is mostly scrub brush, canyons and dry creek beds.

There are a couple of rarities on the property, a couple of springs and there are a few wells.

I have used the wells to supply water to a couple of ponds for wildlife and water tanks for the few cattle I have on the property.

There are a few post and live oaks, mesquite and western ceder trees on the property but most of it is, as I said scrub brush. Great for deer, antelope and wild hogs.

I like it because it is in a remote section of the county, one road in, so in worst case, it is a good place to bug out to.

needlesandpins -> RE: happy place? (2/21/2014 1:19:31 PM)

I'm not going to get anywhere like that near me. where I live it's prime farming land, and what we call greenbelt. the greenbelt can not be built on unless you have a lot of it, and a lot of money to grease a lot of palms. I'd like enough to be able to keep a horse on it, or ideally enough to keep liveries so that I can earn a living through it. like I said though, it's just a dream. enough land anywhere near me to do that would have a £200,000+ price tag.

if I had loads of land I certainly would love rough, old woodland, wild areas for wildlife, and such. I'm not bothered about a big house, but land to be calm on would be fantastic.
