It's outrageous that an assistant principal of a public high school didn't know the law enough to know that she could not deny these students their club.

Good for them. It's nice to see a group of kids stand up for their rights and win.

I am not sure she didn't know the law. Perhaps she thought the kids would just take her word for it because she was the assistant principal. Either way she was wrong.

They have the right, but I cant say I am happy about it. ITs sad to me. Is not a direction Id like to see the USA go, but then again its not up to me.

I'm wondering if they have a gay club as well? Here in my home town there was some opposition to a gay club but to the schools credit they supported it.

Maybe the school was afraid there would be violence rather than a rights issue.
