Ted Nugent use to talk about running for President. He would have a chance. We have elected some characters. A known crack smoking Mayor, a former pro wrestler and a former steroid head D-List actor became Governors.

No chance. He's told some "colorful" stories about himself. see how he avoided military service. And there is the whole underage girl thing.

Anyone that is still conservative and/or Republican now has to decide whether they support a pro-Nazi in their ranks. All the Democrats seem to be around what the Nazis were, but the fringe Republicans and all the of the Tea Party seems to embrace them. Most moderates hate the Nazi, and more likely to side with Democrats.

Regardless of one's views of Tea Party adherents, likening them to potential Nazis... is inappropriate and offensive. There is simply no comparison between followers of the Nazis... and followers of a democratic political movement in the United States. Such comparisons only serve to trivialize the Holocaust and are deeply offensive to Jews and other survivors, as well as those Americans who fought valiantly against the Nazis in World War II.

I've long been deeply skeptical of the Right's embrace of anti-racism. It is undoubtedly true that there are many genuine anti-racists on the Right side of politics, though these numbers thin out the further one proceeds from the centre.

It is equally true that there are many genuine racists on the Right side of politics and that these people often find it convenient to adopt nominally anti-racist positions because open racism is no longer acceptable. Someone coming from this position would see nothing wrong with calling Obama a "sub-human mongrel" yet would object to those articulating such vile racism being described as 'nazis'.

That Foxman is quoted in support of this position comes as no surprise - Foxman has made a career out of abusing the principles of anti-racism by insisting that any criticism of his personal ideology of Zionism can only be racist. Foxman's denial of any correspondence between describing Obama as a "sub human mongrel" and Nazi's untermensch slur merely highlights his hypocrisy.

It we are to believe that the Right has put its racist past behind it, then we need to hear loud denunciations of Nugent and his ilk coming from the Right side of politics, not devious attempts at undermining the vociferous criticism Nugent's discourse deserves.

My post had nothing to do with with either Nugent or his swill. It was instead a response to joether and his swill. I take your point about Foxman, however, and am less than fond of him myself. But even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

One thing that has always struck me about Ted Nugent, is that for somebody who claims to have never even drunk a beer, he sure comes across as someone who once ate WAY too much acid.

His comment is despicable, but we live in a climate where a network only eventually fires a program host who suggests pinning down and shitting in the mouth of a woman in politics he disagrees with. The newscaster who referred to President Bush as a monkey in a live segment still has a career.

President Obama may be incompetent, unqualified, a liar, and getting really creepy at this point (hear about the FCC project?), but he is the elected leader of my country, and I'll show the simple respect of giving him the title he won.

Ted Nugent is not the only Ped in rock, Steven Tyler and Bill Wyman are also, I do not agree with all 3 cradle robbers. Some how they had the parents permission for them to rock on them pre-pube girls. Plus many other rock stars not mentiond like Jerry Lee Lewis were pervs also.

"One group that both Republican Greg Abbott and Democrat Wendy Davis want to attract in the governor’s race is suburban women, particularly independent and GOP-leaning voters. That’s not a group likely to find Abbott’s decision to campaign with rocker Ted Nugent a good one. Nugent — an outspoken gun-rights advocate — has been blistered in recent days for calling President Obama “a subhuman mongrel” and women leaders “fat pigs.” But potentially more politically damaging to the Abbott campaign is Nugent’s past acknowledgement of having sex with underage girls."

This is fucking hilarious. Why the hell would anyone give a shit what Ted Nugent thinks about politicians? He lives to be one of the most outrageous showmen ever. Do the math.

Nugent apologizes for using term 'subhuman mongrel'
Posted by
CNN's Ashley Killough and CNN Political Editor Paul Steinhauser
Updated 1:03 p.m.

(CNN) - Conservative activist and rocker Ted Nugent apologized Friday for using the term "subhuman mongrel" to describe President Barack Obama.

"I do apologize–not necessarily to the President–but on behalf of much better men than myself," he said in an interview with conservative radio host Ben Ferguson, who's also a CNN political commentator.

Texas attorney general Greg Abbott, the likely GOP gubernatorial nominee this year, came under heavy criticism from Democrats this week for campaigning with Nugent, who's known for making outlandish comments about the President.

Nugent said he apologizes "for using the streetfighter terminology of 'subhuman mongrel' instead of just using more understandable language, such as 'violator of his oath to the Constitution'."

In his apology, Nugent appeared to regret more the fact that his language has been tied to Republican politicians from his state, such as Abbott, Gov. Rick Perry, and Sen. Ted Cruz.

"I apologize for using the term," he said. "I will try to elevate my vernacular to the level of those great men that I'm learning from in the world of politics."

Later on in the interview–after some people on Twitter argued Nugent's comments weren't a real apology–Ferguson asked Nugent if he was directly apologizing to the President for the comments.

"Yes," Nugent replied.

While Perry and Cruz both said they found Nugent's original comment inappropriate, they didn't rule out campaigning with him.

Sen. Rand Paul, however, made headlines when he called on Nugent to apologize Thursday night.

"Ted Nugent's derogatory description of President Obama is offensive and has no place in politics. He should apologize," the Kentucky Republican tweeted.

Asked by CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer Thursday in an interview "The Situation Room" about Nugent, Perry said "The idea that Ted Nugent has said something that's outrageous shouldn't surprise anybody."

Perry, who's considering a second bid for the Republican presidential nomination, added that Nugent "shouldn't have said something like that about the President of the United States."

And Cruz distanced himself with what Nugent said in an exclusive interview Wednesday with CNN Chief Congressional Correspondent Dana Bash.

"Those sentiments there, of course, I don't agree with them. You've never heard me say such a thing and nor would I," Cruz said.

But the GOP senator, who's also entertaining a 2016 run, embraced Nugent's outspoken stance in support of the Second Amendment.

"I will note, there are reasons Ted Nugent - people listen to him, which is that he has been fighting passionately for Second Amendment rights. And - and this administration has demonstrated an incredible hostility to the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens," Cruz said.

Hey Owner, you seem to have got your stalkers riled up:)

Abbott knows he`s bleeding and can`t pretend the gaping hole nugent left isn`t there anymore......

Extremely conditional apology.....more of a "I`m sorry I got caught" apology than a real, sincere effort at contrition. Really it was for the consumption of extreme rightists/douche-bags to give them cover.

However....the folks who`re turning away from the gop, indies and moderate republicans, because of this, aren`t going to accept the "I apologize but not to the President" non-apology.

"Hey Owner, you seem to have got your stalkers riled up:)"
