haha. Hey! Some of my best friends are bastards, please don't go picking on them!

But those names you mentioned are actually reserved, in their most disdainful connotations, exclusively for females. There's no name you can call a male that can as effectively *(edit for typo) undercut and dismiss his power or authority, as the way that the word 'bitch' is intended to obliterate the personal power and authority of a female. It says, 'you're not supposed to have any power or authority or equal standing, in the first place.'

The nearest equivalents for men are almost exclusively homophobic slurs, which is telling.

You mean like "You're a cocksucker"?  Does NOT work if the target is a gay man. LOL!  I know that you mean when directed at a straight man.  Just thought I'd throw this in....

Working in a high-tech field... Cute blond man and I were "discussing" a tech issue.  Finally, I was able to prove him wrong.  He said, "Fuck you, you cocksucker!"  My response was, "You're the wrong flavor."  Of course he thought that the flavor I meant was gender, but I really meant orientation. LOL!

It seems this is a common descriptor when it comes to the personalities of dominant women. They're called "masculine" or, less flatteringly, bitches / ball-busters, etc.

True for you as well?

Of course. Usually by insecure male twats. Or the women that prefer insecure male twats and catering to them.

Masculine....no, though I have more than once been called a bitch (I am actually queen bitch but that is beside the point) What commonly gets relayed back to me by others that have heard me spoken about are things like "She has a hell of a set of balls on her" or "If this ends up in a fight I want her on my side"

I have to respectfully disagree with this. Used in the correct tone the word "boy" will do a great deal when it comes to dismissing a mans power.
