Himself found this new eagle cam at Berry College in GA.

http://www.berry.edu/eaglecam/

They have a big screen TV they use for conferencing at his work. When it's not in use, they have the eagle cam up.

I can't wait to see the chicks -- evidently one hatched a few days ago.

Hope no one squeamish comes by that big screen. Eagles are messy eaters.

It is a very cool feed.

They have a closed office with an even more enclosed conference room, so the president won't wander by. The registrar (his immediate boss) is cool with it.

I sort of like the dead bird carcasses all over the nest but I'm sick that way.

It is a little awesome that we can watch such a majestic creature in her habitat. In the next breath, we have intruded on this planet's wild life so much that they can find no excape from humans. I find it a little sad.

I share that sentiment.

I do think the cam is neat. Such a wonderful creature that we sadly don't get to see enough of.

Your comment makes me wonder. There are many people in the US that are upset with the NSA and I wonder how those people feel about this cam.

I never looked at it from that point of view. They don't know the cam is there, so I don't see my viewing as intrusive.

I love the predatory birds and really enjoyed watching one of the parents (I can't tell mom from dad yet) feeding the baby. For me it's a reverence of wild life.

But your point is well taken, we humans have to conquer every part of this earth and bend it to our will.

Mom will be substantially larger than dad otherwise they will be very much the same in appearance.

I've never seen them both at the same time, and what I noticed last year was that until you get them together, it's hard to tell size, at least for me.

Once I see them together a few times I'll figure it out.

Shesh right now I'm so transfixed on that baby chick.

Yeah, You'll need to see them side by side to tell. The chick is amazing. Hard to believe it will grow up to be an eagle if all goes well.

I wasn't sure what I was seeing. But it's dark, I'll check tomorrow.

I shared this with my husband and we watched for a little bit last night (he loves it).
Caught, what appeared to be, the end of a meal. Then packing the egg in for nighttime.

I haven't seen the chick, though. If it hatched on the 22nd, where is it?

It's there. It sits under a parent unless it's feeding. They doubt the other egg will hatch, it's been too long.

That thought crossed my mind, with the other egg, when the parent was "massaging" the egg last night. I kind of had the feeling the eagle was thinking the same as well.

Awesome!

I haven't seen the chick yet, but I look forward to that.
